What benefits can an incomplete and low-income family get?

A low-income family is a family in which the average per capita income is less than the subsistence minimum. In the category of poor people often have people who have both education and work. Most often this happens when a child comes into the family. If in a metropolis one father on good work can still support a wife with a child, then in a province, in some cities, a salary of 10-13 thousand is considered high. It is enough to divide it into three to understand that when a baby is born the family slips beyond the subsistence minimum, which is approximately 4,600 rubles in 2012, especially after 1.5 years, when they stop paying child benefits. However, families with a real income exceeding the subsistence minimum of 5-10 times can fall into the category of a low-income family. How? The matter is that for calculation in social services there is only a "white" salary, which in many equals the minimum. Hence, a large number of low-income families with expensive apartments and annual holidays abroad.

However, secured people are unlikely to formalize benefits to low-income families, since they are not so large, and for many people they do not stand for the paperwork that accompanies them. The amount of payments and the type of assistance depends on the particular region. Let us examine in more detail what kind of subsidies the poor can have. If we are talking about a family with a small child, then it is entitled to free meals up to 2 years, while for ordinary families (regardless of their incomes), curds, cereals and milk are given for free up to a year. Secondly, children under three years of age on the prescription of a pediatrician are supposed to have free medications (although the reality is that they are not always in pharmacies, and their effectiveness is lower than that of expensive foreign analogues). Thirdly, children under the age of seven have the right to free travel in urban transport. In some areas, a low-income family living in a private home has the right to receive a discount on the purchase of coal for heating.

Students at the school can be provided with free meals. A separate category is material assistance to families with children. It depends both on the region of residence, and on the age of the child. Parents whose children have not reached the age of 1.5 years are entitled to a minimum compensation of 750-800 rubles. It is believed that at this time, mother receives maternity benefits. After the payment of benefits ceases, the amount is increased two times. When the child reaches the age of three, when the woman can already go to work and send the baby to the kindergarten, the payments are again reduced to a minimum. In some cities, 1 ticket per child per circus, theater or other entertaining institution pertaining to the city department is allocated once a month to indigent families. Another important benefit is compensation for the payment of a kindergarten. It is 20% of the amount paid with one child, half with two children and 70% per person, if there are three or more children. In addition, low-income families with children have the right to receive a place in the kindergarten on preferential terms. Unfortunately, history is silent about what parents should do if this place does not reach them by the age of 3 years of the child.

A separate category is an incomplete low-income family, simply speaking, single mothers. In addition to these subsidies, they are entitled to a number of other benefits. In particular, for such mothers, the employer is obliged to pay a sick leave sheet for the care of a child who has not reached the age of fourteen in full, if the duration of the illness does not exceed 10 days, and in 50% of the amount from 11 to 15 days. In addition, they can not be dismissed for reduction, as well as attract to night work without their consent. Incomplete low-income families have the right to receive housing on preferential terms.
