Digital signal - quality, reliability, security

The modern information world is developing very rapidly, so you just need to try to be always aware of new technologies. This will allow you to respond in a timely manner to all changes and receive the best quality services.

For an average citizen, the nature of a digital or analogue signal is uninteresting. But when questions arise about the difference between digital and analog formats or signals, questions begin to arise. It's no secret that technologies that are built on analog principles will sooner or later end their existence and completely give the reins of the transfer of information "digit".

But until this moment has come, periodically there is a need to convert the analog signal to digital. Also, it's not uncommon when you need to convert a digital signal to an analog one.

An analog signal is inherently a special signal of a data stream that can be described by certain continuous functions with respect to time. This means that the amplitude of the oscillations can have any value at certain maxima.

A digital signal is a special signal of a data stream that can be described by certain discrete functions with respect to time. That is, its amplitude can take only strictly defined values.

The analog signal is characterized by the presence of a large number of different interference. A digital signal has the useful property of filtering out most of the possible interference. This is achieved by the ability to restore all the original data. Also, the digital signal is advantageously distinguished by the lack of redundancy in the information flow of the data, while for the analog signal the transfer of a significant amount of information that does not have the semantic load is characteristic. In one physical channel, you can transmit several digital signals, whereas an analog one is only one.

The digital signal has one more important characteristic - it's its safety. So, the analog signal is subject to almost any influences or intrusion from the external environment. At the same time, the digital has the ability to be encrypted by assigning it a special code from a set of pulses. This excludes almost any interference by persons who do not have the right to do so in the data transfer process . The only drawback of "numbers" is the complexity of transmitting to long distances. But this problem can easily be solved by using special devices with modulation / demodulation functions.

The transition to a digital signal is most of a concern for television users. For many people, TV has been and remains the only source of information. At the same time, the outdated technology does not accept the "figure". Therefore, it is necessary to use a special device-converter of a digital signal.

With its help, any digital signal can be converted to the required analog signal. This avoids the additional costs of purchasing a new TV and makes it possible to use the quality of digital data transmission on its analog device.
