Frankfurters baked in the dough are a delicious and nutritious appetizer, which is also suitable for picnics, as they can be prepared in advance and taken with them to nature. Most often, sausages are prepared in a puff pastry in the oven. Prepare this snack is very simple, if you have ready-made puff pastry, which is served at the grocery store. Frozen dough should be left at room temperature, so it thawed, and then rolled out on a cutting board, sprinkled with flour. The thickness of the formation is about half a centimeter. We cut the dough into rectangles, the long side of which is equal to the length of sausages, which we plan to bake. We put the sausage peeled from the shell on the edge of the rectangle from the dough and wrap it, as if making a roll. However, this dish can be prepared in another way. In this case, strips are cut from the rolled layer of the puff pastry, the width of which is about two centimeters, and then these strips should be "wrapped" in the sausage, preventing the formation of lumens between the layers of the dough.

Sausages in the dough laid on a greased baking sheet, grease their upper part with an egg. If desired, the products can be sprinkled with sesame seeds or poppy seeds. Bake sausages in a puff pastry in the oven needed at a temperature of about 180 degrees. Baking time is 20-30 minutes.

When preparing sausages in a puff pastry in the oven, it is important not to overexpose them, the products are ready when the dough acquires a golden (not brown) color.

And how to cook sausages in puff pastry, if there is no ready-made dough? Cooking puff pastry yourself on a classic recipe is quite difficult, and the time to prepare will take a lot. Therefore, it is worth using the recipe for the preparation of the test "in a hurry."

All products for the preparation of this test should be cold. Take a piece of butter (200 grams) from the refrigerator and begin to rub it on the grater, sprinkling it with flour ( you need to take two glasses of flour ). As a result, we get the oil crumb. Do not grind this dough by hand, as the oil will melt and the effect of the doughiness of the dough will be reduced.

Next, we dissolve half a glass of water a half teaspoon of salt and pour a tablespoon of lemon juice into it. We pour the liquid into the dishes with the oil crumb and quickly knead the dough. Since the quality of flour can be different, it is possible during the mixing process to add a little water or flour. Ready to put the dough in the fridge for half an hour. Then roll it on the table, fold it into four layers and roll it out again. Repeat this operation twice and again for ten minutes put the dough in the refrigerator. After which it can be rolled out, cut and wrapped in sausages. Bake sausages in a puff pastry in the oven for 20-30 minutes

You can bake sausages in a dough prepared on yeast. In this case, you can also use the finished semi-finished product by purchasing a dough from the store or making the dough yourself using the following recipe.

In a glass of warm milk dilute a bag of dry yeast and a teaspoon of sugar. Leave the mass until the yeast is raised in the form of a "cap". Meanwhile, beat the egg, adding to it a tablespoon of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt. Pour into this mass of yeast approached, add a couple of spoons of vegetable oil and about 50 grams of cream, which must be pre-melted. Gradually add flour (about 3.5 glasses will leave) and knead a soft dough. Leave it to rise for about an hour. Then knead, roll out, cut and wrap in sausage dough.
