Sexual maturity coho salmon reaches the third-fourth year of life. Spawning begins at the end of September and lasts until early December. Caviar eggs are laid in the ground to a depth of ten to thirty centimeters, the fecundity of female coho fish varies from 1.3 to 6.4 thousand eggs. Being in fresh water, young coho salmon feed on larvae of chironomids, and with the onset of summer - adult insects. Also often enough coho catches fry and caviar salmon, adults eat fish.
