Cooking a delicious pita bread cake

How to collect pita cake

A sheet of pita bread is placed on a small baking tray. Do not grease the tray. The edges should hang from the baking tray, this is necessary in order to close the cake. Put a layer of fillings, then tear off the pita leaf by the size of the pie, wet it in a mixture of eggs and yogurt and lay it on the filling. Again, put the filling, again lavash, and so on. So put 2 to 4 layers of filling.

Picking up the cake. You can lay the left edges with an envelope, or you can carefully collect the lavash-base in a lump. When collected in a lump inner layers are mixed, they get air, and the pie turns out more magnificent.

In this case, the filling should become a bit liquid. If the filling is not dry (for example, stewed vegetables), the sauce is not added to it, and is used to grease the leaves of pita bread.

Also the filling can be sweet. This is a filling of berries, fruits, jam, marmalade, cottage cheese.

We cook khachapuri from lavash

Khachapuri is a famous dish of Georgian cuisine. It is a fresh cake baked with cheese. Instead of cheese you can use cottage cheese, you can mix cheese with cottage cheese, you can add greens or eggs. Classic khachapuri is like a big cheesecake, it can be open or closed. This dish has many options.

And one of the ways of cooking is khachapuri from lavash.

Take a few lavash sheets. Prepare for the above recipe. As a filling, 400-500 grams of grated cheese is taken (it is best to use suluguni cheese, but the usual Russian will also suit) and 200-300 grams of cottage cheese. Mix the grated cheese and cottage cheese, this will be the filling. Lay the filling and layers of pita bread (you will get 3-4 layers), put in a preheated oven for 10 minutes. Such khachapuri can be eaten both hot and cold, it will be delicious.

Cooking hot lavash roll

For the preparation of rolls 2 sheets of pita bread are used. Between them is put the filling, the sheets neatly roll into the roll. From above, the roll is smeared with butter, sprinkled with grated cheese and baked in the oven for 10 minutes.

You can use any stuffing to make a lavash roll . If we take stuffing from minced meat, sausage, fish, vegetables, it should be added with mayonnaise or sour cream, so that it is not dry and lavash sheets are soaked. When baking pita bread should not be dry. If we use a fruit or berry or curd filling, you need to add yogurt, cream or sour cream to lubricate. Then the lavash roll will be tasty.

Pie from pita bread is convenient to cook, when you need to quickly and deliciously feed the guests. You can take it with you to a picnic. This is an excellent alternative to pies from yeast dough.
