Potato salad in American style is a classic dish in the United States. Attempts to grow a culture from which you can prepare an unusual potato salad in American style, began about 15 thousand years ago. Even the Indians tried to domesticate it in South America. The true motherland of potatoes is Bolivia and Peru.

Potato was brought to Russia for the first time by Peter the Great, and at first it did not suit the taste of local peasants. But already in the middle of the XVIII century the product became so loved for people that it was often called the second bread.

The scientists concluded that the root crop is rich not only in vitamins (groups B, C), but also in fiber, organic acids, useful sugars and mineral salts of calcium, iron, potassium, phosphorus. In Germany, a classic potato salad in the American style is considered a masterpiece of national cuisine. The Germans serve it with sauerkraut, fried sausages.   • Apple cider vinegar is natural - 2 tablespoons.

  • Champignons (you can take other mushrooms) - 70 g.
  • Vegetable oil - 3-4 tablespoons.

Potatoes must be boiled in advance, without peeling. Then cool, cut into small cubes. Wash the champignons, chop finely and fry in vegetable oil until half cooked. At the final stage of meat preparation, add soy sauce to the pan, cover with a lid and put out another 5 minutes, then cool. Vegetables chopped with straws, squeezed garlic, mix all the ingredients. Salad dressed with soy sauce and sprinkled with herbs before serving.

Potato salad with chicken liver

Required:

  • Potatoes - 3 pieces.
  • Liver of chicken - 200 g.
  • Bulb - 1 piece.
  • Vegetable oil (preferably olive oil) for refueling.
