Chypre aromas are an original perfume line

The word "chypre" originated from the French name of the island of Cyprus - Chipre. The same name was given by the French perfumer Franco Coti to one fragrance as early as the beginning of the twentieth century. It was this smell that gave development to a new direction of perfumery, called chypre aromas.

This is the memory of the ancient legend of Cyprus. According to an old legend, it was on the island that the beautiful goddess Venus was born. And just in the same area grows a certain type of oak moss, which became the main component of the new work of perfume art.

What is this perfume?

Chypre aromas are a special line of perfume, unique in its beauty and uniqueness. The perfume also contained fragrant scents of jasmine and roses, fresh lemons and bergamot, sweet cumin, sandal, patchouli. In combination, the original bouquet, surprising in beauty, sensuality and freshness, turned out to be very popular among women.

Development of a new direction

The peak of popularity chypre aromas reached in the fifties of last century. Unfortunately, today the use of mossy oak in the perfume industry is prohibited, so the producers began to use a different kind of moss - galbanum. Also, synthetic substitutes for natural flavors are actively used. Alas, to return the original charm of the legendary perfume has not yet been able to anyone.

Description of aromas in classical design

Traditional chypre is recognized as a truly masculine fragrance. It is distinguished by a feeling of freshness, dryness and restraint. The basis of men's chypre perfumes are the aromas of natural leather and fresh wood.

Chypre aromas are the multifaceted smells of autumn rain that has passed in the forest. Today, the palette of smells of this group has increased significantly, which required a whole classification of this direction. It should be noted that new modern perfumes are developed and produced equally for men and women.
