History of the origin of coffee

The wonderful property of coffee grains to evoke cheerfulness and activity was discovered back in 850 AD. E. First, people chewed raw grains, then learned to roast them to get a more attractive taste. The area where the discovery was made was called Kafa (that's where the name of the drink comes from).

The fried and ground beans used for the preparation of the drink from Ethiopia first came to Egypt, Turkey, Brazil and further all over the world.

Most experiments with this drink were conducted by the Arabs. Thanks to their efforts, coffee with milk appeared, with various spices (cinnamon, ginger).

For a long time the drink was considered Muslim. At the end of the XVI century appeared in Europe. There began to open coffee houses, where you could appreciate the taste of this "devil's drink."

Initially, coffee was used to give vivacity, and only then began to pay attention to its energy value: 100 g - 7 kcal, proteins - 0.2 g, fat - 0.5 g, carbohydrates - 0.2 g.

Coffee is prepared by the way of brewing, infusion and using a coffee machine.

Cappuccino

It is such a drink, when in a cup, except coffee itself, milk is poured in a special way, and a thick milk foam forms on top.

The origin of the drink dates from the 16th century. It was then in Italy that this kind of coffee appeared, which is popular today.

One of the legends tells about the origin of the name of the drink. It is believed that the name is associated with the Capuchin monks, who wore dark cassocks with a white hood. The monks were very fond of coffee, but because of its high cost, they added milk to get a bigger volume.

Traditional cappuccino is prepared on the basis, which includes water and ground coffee beans (espresso), adding milk or milky foam. If you pick up good varieties of grains, the drink will turn out delicate and fragrant.

It is very convenient to prepare cappuccino in a coffee machine, but you can do without it, using a French press.

But it should be noted that coffee is contraindicated in people who have high blood pressure.

Caloric content of cappuccino from the machine is 434 kcal per 100 grams of beverage. And it will be a real cappuccino. The machine prepares it on the right technology: first, a classic espresso is brewed, and only then is milk lather added to this coffee, which is prepared separately. A portion of cappuccino coffee from the machine is brewed from 7 g of freshly ground grains and 200 g of milk, if desired, cocoa or cinnamon is added.

Caloric content of cappuccino with sugar, prepared from 100 ml of milk 1.5% fat, 100 ml of espresso, 5 g of grated milk chocolate (for decoration) and 1 teaspoon of sugar, is 71 kcal. Exactly the same serving without sugar has a caloric content equal to 52 kcal.
