Building mixtures. ASG is ..

PGS is a sand and gravel mixture. It is used for making mortars. It should be noted that the solutions in which the PGS is present is a great material for the arrangement of roads.

general information

PGS is a material with good chemical and physical properties. Compared with other mixtures, it is inexpensive. That is why among the building materials it is very popular. Two types of sand-gravel mixtures can be distinguished: natural (conventional) and enriched.

Extraction

ASG is a natural material. It is mined in places where there are sea or river beaches. Work in quarries is carried out using excavator technology. The enriched sand-gravel mixture is produced by adding a certain amount of gravel to the originally mined volume. When the material is extracted from the ground, it can be seen that it contains large grains of gravel. Such a natural mixture includes in a significant amount, except gravel, sand. An ASG of this composition is usually used to fill the upper layer of the road. It can also be used in drainage systems.

Characteristic

There are certain standards governing the ratio in which gravel is present in the total volume of CBC. Thus, the presence of loose material with a diameter of 5 mm should not exceed 95%, but the minimum quantity should be at least 5%. The main impurities that make up the ASG are dust or clay. By standards, their number should not exceed 5%. Gravel, which is present in the composition of this natural mixture, has a number of useful properties. This, in particular, hardness, density, frost resistance. One of the main advantages of CBC is the affordable cost. In comparison with other natural minerals, the mixture is very cheap. Thus, with small funds, you can purchase impressive amounts of material. But a mixture of sand and gravel, despite the fact that there is a great variety of their natural compounds, is used in construction only as auxiliary materials. For such a process as leveling and planning surfaces, it is better to use enriched raw materials.

Use of ASG

Concrete, as is known, is used for the construction of a variety of structures. This is due to the fact that it is considered a universal material. Concrete consists of the following components: water, cement and filler. To improve the characteristics of the solution, chemical additives are added in some cases. One of the most popular fillers for concrete is sand and crushed stone. ASG, screenings, brick scrap are used only in some brands. The presence of a particular component depends on the nature of the work. In order for the concrete mixture to be of high quality, it is necessary to observe the proportions and production technology. Do not forget about the quality of the components used. The proportion between cement and sand-gravel mixture can be different, it all depends on the purpose of the concrete. Usually it is 1: 4 or 1: 3 - one serving of cement and three or four sand and gravel mixtures. This ratio is suitable for concrete from a fine-grained compound. Basically, the ratio between PGS and cement depends on the quality of the future solution. An important role is played by the size of fractions included in the sand and gravel mixture. If the concrete is used for foundation pouring, the ratio between the components will be 1: 8 (one part cement and eight - sand-gravel mixture). In concrete, which includes PGS, do not need to add crushed stone, gravel separately. But all is not so unambiguous. Much depends on the ratio of gravel and sand in the concrete mix. Usually at the enterprises where the solution is bought, it is possible to find out details about the used ratio of ASG and cement. When you make it at home, you should remember one nuance. Sand in the concrete should be added only when gravel prevails in its structure.

Concrete from OGPS

The composition of the concrete mixture from OGPS differs from that in which the ASG is included. To obtain the solution, it is necessary to connect the following components: water (0.5 parts), cement (1 part), PGS (4 parts). All these proportions should be taken according to the weight of the materials. In some cases it is recommended to add sand separately. But everything depends on the already existing percentage of this component in the OGPS and the brand of cement. Exactly the same recommendation should be applied to the production of concrete from PGS. Everything is very interconnected. Depending on the final purpose of the concrete, it is necessary to take into account the ratio of sand in the ASG and the brand of the cement itself. In what proportion are the components of the sand-gravel mixture, you can find out at the time of its purchase. But if this possibility does not exist, then it can be determined at home. To know the relationship between gravel and sand, it is necessary to sift the ASG through a sieve.
