Food poisoning. Symptoms and methods of treatment.

If the body gets poisonous substances, then comes a painful condition, which is called poisoning. I must say that among all types of poisoning, food takes only a small part, about 1%. Food poisoning can be characterized by the most acute state of the body, which can appear as a result of getting into the body of a stale product.

The most common is food poisoning, the types of which are associated with poisoning with the use of wild poisonous plants, poisonous fungi, conditionally edible fungi that have been subjected to improper heat treatment, as well as stale and overdue food products. Poisoning with alcoholic beverages is quite common.

Poisonings of bacterial origin can be divided into intoxications and toxic infections. The first type is usually referred to as botulism, intoxication with staphylococci. The second type includes salmonellosis, as well as those diseases that cause E. coli.

Food poisoning develops from the moment of eating unsuitable or overdue foods. Symptoms of it are usually the following: a long and painful vomiting and nausea, the strongest diarrhea, which, with such poisoning, is usually watery, and in its composition there are pieces of that food that did not have time to digest. All this can last a day or three, after which it gradually comes to naught. However, abdominal pain and general weakness can remain.

After the first signs of food poisoning, it is recommended immediately to wash the stomach with a solution of baking soda, or ordinary warm water. Do this until the clear water appears. Until signs of poisoning disappear completely, the patient should drink at least 3 liters of lightly salted water a day. By the way, in the liquid, in addition to salt, you can add baking soda at the rate of 1 teaspoon per liter of water and sugar (2 teaspoons per liter).

After eating poisonous herbs or fungi, poisoning also develops. Symptoms of the following character: in the mouth there is a lack of saliva, which causes dryness, facial skin turns red, sometimes a person may have a clouding of consciousness and even visual and auditory hallucinations. The heart beats quite often, but breathing first increases, and then the patient becomes very hard to breathe. If you do not take any measures to provide assistance, then within a day there will be a fatal outcome.

Very often in those people who do not know the measures in the use of alcohol, there is also alcohol poisoning. Symptoms of it represent something between the symptoms of poisoning with poisonous plants and bad products. Those. A person at first is very excited, but after a while his face becomes very pale, a person becomes ill and even a loss of consciousness is possible. To help in this case it is possible to wash the stomach, after which the patient should be covered with warmers and give him an abundant but hot drink such as coffee or strong tea.

To another type of poisoning is poisoning by chemical elements. In particular, manganese. In general, manganese is a very important element for our body and is present in virtually all of its organs and tissues. If the body lacks manganese, the work of the sexual and nervous system may be disrupted, memory will deteriorate, etc.

Nevertheless, the excess of manganese in the body does not lead to anything good either. As a rule, manganese poisoning is quite often encountered in those people who are involved in the extraction of ore or are engaged in chemical production processes, i.e. Galvanic production, welding, etc. Therefore, manganese can also cause poisoning. Symptoms of it are: severe weakness in the body, back pain or limbs, drowsiness, frequent pain in the temporal bone, urination disorder, insomnia, sexual weakness, tearing of the eyes.
