To store firewood in the country or in a country house, a special storage is usually built - a wood-burning machine. It can be built as a separate room, and can be part of a solid economic block. To begin construction it is necessary with a choice of a place which should not be located close to an apartment house. For such an easy construction, you do not need a massive foundation, you can simply use any metal or asbestos cement pipes, the remaining blocks or rings from other buildings. Having defined the dimensions of the wood-burning machine, we clear the place for construction, then the supports are dug into the ground at its corners and well packed with crushed stone. The distance between them should be one and a half meters, and above the ground they should be 20 cm.
A simple foundation is ready, you can start making woodwood by yourself. To do this, at the corners digging wooden beams, the verticality of which is checked by plumb. Around the pillars, the soil is layer-by-layer tamped, and they themselves are treated with an antiseptic. From the front of the wood-log, the beams should be higher by about 15-20 cm to give the necessary bias to the future roof. In order for the building to be stronger and more reliable, an additional beam is piled in from behind. At the bottom of the stolen pillars, the top of the foundation supports is the strapping of the boards, and then the floor is laid on the resulting frame. Further, the wood-burning tool is covered with plywood, slats or other lumber. Preliminary for the stiffness between the poles, braces are nailed, then lateral and back walls are sewn with any available material, and the front part remains open.
In addition to a sufficiently large woodburner, you can also build a light canopy for firewood on your dacha, which has no side walls. In the earth, in the corners of the future structure, four pillars are piled, which are fastened together by braces. Bundle of boards is laid down, the floor is laid, and the rear wall is lined with lumber. The front posts should be slightly higher than the rear posts to give the roof a slope. The roofing of both a wood-burning machine and a canopy can be made of slate, roofing material or ondulin. The roofs are laid on the lath of the boards.
At the dacha you can build not only a wood-burning machine with your own hands, but also a much needed shower in the summer. On a light foundation, a wooden frame is fixed, which must be strong enough to support the weight of the container with water. The floor is made of wood with gaps to drain water. The frame is covered with boards, plywood, lining or slate. On the roof there is a tank with water made of plastic or stainless steel. Instead of the door, you can use a polyethylene shower curtain. It's not very difficult to build a shower on your site, but in summer heat the opportunity to refresh yourself will be welcome.
