Types of doors-compartments

Coupe doors, with movable doors, take up little space. The design distinguishes two types: parallel-sliding and sliding-folding. A parallel-sliding version of doors can have one or more flaps. When you open a single-leaf door-coupe, the leaf either goes into the wall, or moves along it.

The device of multi-leaf doors is more difficult. As a rule, the number of doors does not exceed four. On them the area of the whole door is divided. Two leaves remain motionless, and the other two, located in the center, leave when opened for them.

At the doors of sliding folding doors are divided into several sections, which are identical in width. Their number varies from three to seven. During the opening, the flaps are folded in accordion.

The standard height of the door leafs is two meters five centimeters, and the width can be from sixty centimeters to one meter, with a thickness of four centimeters. Two-leaf doors are suitable for a too wide doorway, so both canvases are purchased in such a way that they each have more door openings for seven centimeters.

To install sliding doors with your own hands has turned into a well-prepared process, you need to take care of the details. You will need two door leaves, locks, a metal bar, rollers, trim, a wooden bar in size larger than the doorway in 2 times. Self-tapping screws, nails, anchors are used as fasteners.

Starts the installation of doors with their own hands with the fact that the metal bar is screwed with screws to the wooden bar. Then the received design is attached to the wall by anchors, on top of the doorway. It is imperative to check its verticality. Rollers are installed strictly vertically (using a plumb line) under the bar. Chisel grooves are made for the rollers in the lower part of the door leaves. The installation of the doors is almost complete. At the end of the main work, the block can be decorated with platbands, by attaching them with nails.
