Braga made of wheat. Other Brew making recipes

Braga is one of the oldest drinks, which is quite popular in our time. The brag contains alcohol. Approximately in the same amount as in strong beer.
The process of making a barge is not particularly difficult, because braga is an intermediate product in the preparation of alcohol or moonshine, which can be used independently. The quality of the brew, if it goes as an independent drink, depends more on the quality and quantity of added yeast. If you overdo it with yeast, then the drink will get a very murky shade and will have an unpleasant aftertaste. But if you put a little yeast, then in this case the fortress of the drink will suffer. Therefore, one of the main conditions in the making of a barge is to find the golden mean.
Braga has a property to quickly sour, so long to keep it is not recommended. Use it best after maturation (fermentation), previously well filtered.
Recipes for getting brags are pretty much. Brags made of wheat, potatoes, peas, etc. are produced. Here are some of those recipes that are more popular and easy to prepare.

Braga made of wheat.

Braga made from wheat is made from grains, which must first be soaked in water until they give sprouts. Germinate wheat for about three days and always in a warm place. After the seeds germinate, they need to be dried well for 12-14 hours. With the help of a wooden crush, the grain should be crushed and add water, keeping the proportion one to three. Then we fill in the sugar - 200 grams per one kilogram of grain, add 50 grams of yeast and, of course, malt from the calculation: 0.16 kg of malt is taken for 2 kg of wheat. The resulting mixture should be put in a warm dry place and insist for 10-15 days. During the infusion, the mixture must be shaken from time to time and remove the scale that will form on the surface. Braga from wheat should be covered from above with gauze or other matter, in order to avoid getting insects. Completely fermented braga has a slight bitterish taste and a specific smell. The process of gas evolution and foam formation ceases, although if the vial is shaken well, a small number of bubbles will still rise from the bottom. It is very important to be able to correctly determine the stage of ripening of the brag that is necessary for obtaining a good and quality moonshine. Help in determining the readiness of the barge can also hydrometer: at the end of fermentation the reading on the scale will be zero or very close to it.

In the same way, brags of any other kind are produced. The quality raw materials are selected and all the same recommendations are fulfilled as with wheat.

Braga made from rice.

To prepare rice brew, you need: two glasses of peeled rice and three glasses of sugar. All these ingredients should be poured into a three-liter jar, there to pour a half-liter bottle of any beer and all this to the top pour clean water. The can is closed with a cotton or linen cloth, which should be folded several times. Leave to wander in a warm place. When the gases stop emitting, you need to carefully drain the liquid and the braga is ready.

Another fairly simple recipe for rice brags.

Boil the cleaned and washed rice in ten liters of water, wait until it has cooled to room temperature, add three cups of ground malt and mix everything thoroughly. We keep the drink for 10-12 hours. After it has been brewed, stir everything again, add 200 grams of yeast and wait another week. Next, the rice brew needs to be well filtered and overtaken. The output should be 4 liters of finished braga.
