Men owe women the opportunity to drink beer

Strange as it may sound, but men are obliged by the appearance of beer to the weaker sex. It was the women who created this drink, using their entrepreneurial skills, as well as special talents.

How did this happen?

Despite the fact that now beer is considered a man's drink, and all advertising videos and general stereotypes testify to this, in the historical plan everything was completely different. According to author Jane Peyton, it was women who created beer thousands of years ago, and only they were allowed to drink this drink. For this, the author carried out an in-depth study and led, at the same time, undeniable historical facts.

A bit of history

About 7,000 years ago in Mesopotamia and Sumer, only women were allowed to manufacture and sell beer, since it was believed that only they had such talent and capabilities. Legend tells about this, in which it is told that this drink was given by the goddess, while the male god was never even mentioned.

In the 8-10th century, during the invasion of the Vikings, ale became very popular in Europe. In this case, according to the laws of the northern inhabitants, only women were made ale, and all the products and tools that were used for this were considered their personal property. Similar things happened in England, where ale was also prepared exclusively by representatives of the weaker sex. According to historical information, this drink was very popular among high-born women, in particular Queen Elizabeth I always used ale for breakfast.

In the beginning of the 18th century the way of making beer changed, so the female contribution became less significant. In place of manual work came the methods of industrial revolution, and the role of the weaker sex in this process was soon forgotten. Despite this, it is women who are the authors of this drink, and it is they who for millennia made different types of beer practically all over the world.
