Novo-Passit: instructions for use

Novo-Passit is a sedative drug that provides a complex effect on the nervous system. It consists of extracts of medicinal plants and guaifenesin - a remedy used to alleviate anxiety.

Guaifenesin is a mucolytic agent: in patients with respiratory diseases it dilutes sputum and facilitates its excretion. At the same time, you can meet the recommendations to give this remedy even for babies up to a year, at the rate of one drop for each month of the child's age. In addition, according to the instructions attached to Novo-Passit, the syrup contains ethanol. Therefore, its benefits for children of early and, especially, infants - are in question: in this case it is better to choose another means of a similar action.
