Bolognese tackle. Float for long casting. The technique of wiring the Bolognese tackle

Bologna fishing is one of the types of float fishing, in which a long rod with rings and an inertial coil are used. Such fishing was not able to win a wide audience, however it is very fascinating. And in some cases, when the rest of the methods are powerless, only the Bolognese tackle will help the fisherman to go home with a catch.

Historical reference

In the 90s of last century in the Italian province of Bologna, where several large rivers flow, the fishermen came up with a universal and effective way of catching. He assumed the use of a long rod with rings, on which the inertial coil and float equipment were installed. The main advantage of this method is the possibility of fishing at long distances, in wiring. Italian rivers have a fairly large width, so anglers used 7-8 meters long rods. When in 1992 the Italian team won the championship in float fishing, the Bologna tackle became known to the whole world. Among amateurs, this method is famous for its versatility, and with proper use it gives good results.

Differences from other float methods

To better understand what the gear deserved popularity, compare it with other float fishing practices used on the current. Let's start with a flywheel with a deaf snap. When catching in the wiring, the blind flywheel is limited both in the casting distance and in the length of the wiring. To large fish did not break the snap, the fly rod should be put thick leashes. In Bolognese fishing, a coil is used, with which you can level the impacts of fish. Therefore, in the lapper, a finer line is used, which uniquely affects the result of fishing.

The second tackle, which is worth comparing the Bologna fishing rod - the plug. To date, only a plug allows you to snap the bait to the nearest centimeter. Bologna tackle allows you to achieve almost the same accuracy. However, it is not so cumbersome and more dynamic. Again, there is no problem with the casting distance and the length of the wiring. In addition, plug fishing requires a selection and preparation of a place, and with a lap-dog everything is much simpler.

Rod

Bolognese fishing uses float rods equipped with a reel seat and rings on long legs. As a rule, these are telescopic models, on the two upper knees of which the rings have a floating construction, which removes the load from the top. As already mentioned, the length of this fishing rod is about 7-8 meters, but for simple rivers, simple float rods of 4-5 meters in length will do. Many people ask the question: "Why can not you use a short rod on wide rivers?" In principle, you can catch a Bolognese tackle on any rod, but a short form will not allow you to sufficiently control the rigging, and the whole essence of Bologna wiring is lost.

In the market of fishing tackle you can find a lot of suitable rods. When choosing, you should pay attention to weight, rigidity, balance, fastening of rings. Do not forget that the fishing rod works with the coil, so when choosing, try to hold the tackle assembly.

Coil

The second most important element of the tooling is a coil. As a rule, non-inertial models are used in Bologna fishing. In the fishing store of such coils can be found more than enough. The main criteria for selection are: the diameter of the spool, the convenient rear clutch and the presence of a spare spool. Let's take a closer look at why such parameters are important, and why everything else goes to the background.

A coil with a large spool itself weighs quite a lot. It shifts the center of gravity towards the knee and compensates for the length of the whip. As a result - catching is much more convenient, despite the increased weight. In addition, the fishing line winds much faster on a large spool. And when a few hundred casts are done per day, this is very important.

Working with the rear clutch is much more convenient, especially when you need to observe a number of conditions during the fish's survival so that it does not come off. Adjust the effort of escaping the line with the rear brake without looking at the coil, which is much more difficult with the front clutch. Other characteristics of the coils: anti-twister fishing line, the number of bearings, body material, spools, arches of the forest stalker - are less important and depend on your personal preferences.

Other equipment

It should be noted right away that all fishing gear should be stored in a special box that will prolong their life. This especially applies to floats, because they are rather gentle and require a delicate attitude. The float of the Bologna tackle can be different depending on a variety of conditions. Therefore, it is desirable that in your arsenal there are two loaded floats of each kind. This, on the one hand, allows you to quickly adapt to the conditions of catching, and on the other - in case of a cliff, quickly replace the rigging with a new one without re-loading it.

In addition to the floats in the box, you need to put spare sinkers. Small pellets to correct the load, and large olives - in case of breaking all the rigging. Of course, in the arsenal should be spare hooks. They are known to be chosen in size and color so that the nozzle or bait is as inconspicuous as possible. It will be good to take with you a couple of coils of the fishing line, again in case of a cliff. We examined the main gear for the Bologna fishing rod. Then everyone decides independently what to add to their arsenal. Do not interfere with fishing: nippers, cambric, swivels, extractor and marker for touching antennas floats. From the auxiliary elements, we note the capacity for bait, podsak, cage, stand under the fishing rod and capacity for bait or attachment.

Tooling

The construction of this equipment will not be a discovery for those who know what float fishing is. Tackle consists of a float (details about the construction of floats a little lower), weights (divided into two groups: the main cargo and the reserve), stoppers (if a sliding float attachment is used), a swivel and a hook. The swivel is necessary for a convenient connection of the leash to the main line and reducing the probability of twisting the line. It is placed immediately under the package.

Floats, regardless of design and load capacity, are loaded under the base of the antenna. The main cargo should be about 3/4 of the total cargo capacity. It usually represents one olive. Another 1/4 of the cargo falls on the support, which is recruited from pellets. The float must be fixed in two places. Otherwise, the fisherman will not be able to make a correct, clear wiring.

Bologna tackle on crucian carp, bream, roach and other kinds of white fish has no fundamental differences.

Choosing a pond

Having dealt with the equipment, go directly to fishing. First of all, it is necessary to determine to which type the alleged river belongs. The river can be the main (basin), the tributary, a secondary tributary of the main tributary. This is necessary in order to understand whether it is worth to go to a particular river at a certain time of the year. In spring, as is known, the fish rushes into small rivers for spawning. This is due to the fact that water is heated more quickly in small rivers, and consequently fish food is produced. After spawning fish leaves small rivers and moves to large tributaries, where by this time already enough warm water and abundance of food. Approximately at the end of July, when the last insects leave the underwater world, the fish migrate to the main rivers. That's why starting anglers often notice that throughout the year on the same site the fish bite differently.

Choose a place for fishing

Having identified with the river, it is worth to find on it some of the most promising points. These can be narrowing the channel, rolling, turning, bays, inflows of tributaries and other places that stand out from the general background. When you come to a point, you need to find out the speed of the current. It determines the choice of the carrying capacity of the float and, ultimately, the result of the entire fishing. It is not difficult to navigate by the speed and nature of the current, you just need to drop a couple of dry twigs on the water and watch how they swim.

Preparing for fishing

Gathering the tackle, you need to concentrate all the sinkers at one point, near the swivel. Then, by finding the depth, you need to find the bottom. Having thrown tackle, we do wiring and we look at the float. If it goes evenly throughout the entire wiring, then the bottom is flat, and in this place it is unlikely to succeed in fishing. If the float twists during the wiring and changes its position, then there are obstacles on the bottom, near which the fish can accumulate. Having done a similar procedure with an interval of 10-15 centimeters, you can get an exhaustive picture of the bottom and understand where to expect the bite.

Now you can tie a swivel to the swivel. It should be 0.02 mm thinner than the main line. This is necessary not only to prevent the fish from noticing the threat, but also in order to break off the leash, in case of a hook, and not the entire tackle. The length of the leash usually ranges from 20 to 70 cm. It remains only to move the sinker - and the tackle is ready. There should be a distance slightly greater than the length of the leash between the main cargo and the subframe, so that during the casting the levers do not cling to the load. In this gap there should not be separate grains for the same reason.

Lure

When the Bologna tackle is ready for battle, you need to take care of feeding the fish. Here, any bait for flow, anyway, is important, so that there are a lot of gluing substances in the form of flour and "Hercules". To date, there is a sufficient number of such baits in trade outlets. To make a mixture yourself is also not a problem. The main thing that experts advise in this matter is to use mixtures of crumbly type and to refuse from porridge. They better collect fish, do not satiate it and carry less harm to nature. As for clay, it will not be superfluous in bait until early July, until the insects, the larvae of which ripen on the bottom, flew away.

Now a few words about the tactics of feeding. If the depth at the fishing point does not exceed one and a half meters, then the first zakorm should be half of the entire bait, so as not to scare the fish with feeding beads. If the depth is greater, you can reduce the amount of the first zakorma and after several postings toss balls of the size of a walnut. If the biting begins to fade with regular feeding, it is necessary to feed the fish less often (every 40 minutes), but with large balls (with orange). Before you start feeding the fish, check the mixture near the shore. It should be well blurred.

Now it's time to talk about the technique of catching. In the Bologna fishing there are three main types of wiring, we will disassemble each of them.

Catching in hold

This is the most common technique of wiring the Bologna tackle. Its essence is to create such conditions under which the nozzle floats as slowly as possible, thus standing out from the general background and attracting fish. We will find out how this is done. Gear rushes higher and farther than the feeding points, so that when it is over, it is just in the right place. Then, pulling the line, you need to stop the movement of the float and hold the fishing tackle along the fishing line. At the same time the rod is slightly raised, so that the line is on weight. At first glance this is easy, but in practice it is not quite so. Before everything will work out, you need to practice. It is important that the float does not get out of the water, and the rigging does not go to the shore along an arc.

The float for long-distance casting should be drop-shaped, with a long keel of carbon fiber or steel wire, two fastening points and a thin antenna. Almost all companies producing floats have such models in their arsenal. The fastening of the float must be deaf. The carrying capacity of the Bologna floats in our latitudes ranges from 2 to 12 g. Under any fishing conditions, one can select the desired float from this spectrum.

Delay fishing

Bolognese fishing with wire in the wire is that the body of the float is towing the rigging, in which the submarine is dragging along the bottom. The antenna is tilted downstream. The speed of drawing can be controlled by changing the weight of the sub-load or carrying out the support. This is a good way, but it works on a clean day, which you still need to look for. Especially this method is to the liking of breams.

The float for long casting by the "wire" method is in the form of an inverted drop and a thick antenna. Often this method uses large attachments: a worm, a corn, a bundle of maggots, and the like. By the way, the thickness of the antenna directly affects the load capacity of the float. Therefore, small antennas are used for small attachments (bloodworm, gum, perlove, etc.), and thick ones for large ones.

Catching in free swimming

For those who only find out what a Bologna tackle is on the flow, this method will do the most, since it is the simplest. Here you just need to throw the tackle and wait until it independently, with the speed of the current, floats the necessary distance. This is a less adventurous way, but sometimes it gives good results. In it, you can apply the same floats as in the previous two methods. There is no fundamental difference.

Process of catching

After disarming the first fish, you need to see how it was detected. If the fish has swallowed the hook deeply, then it is necessary to reduce the depth by 2-3 cm. Thus, it is necessary to achieve that the fish is cut only for the lip. This measure not only prolongs the life of the prey, but also relieves the angler from unnecessary time spent on pulling the hook. Bites should be smooth, without any jerks. If during the bite the float chaotically jerks, then too much of it is above the water. By adjusting it with small weights, you can solve the problem.

If the biting stopped, it does not mean that the fish left the point or ate the whole bait. If you properly fed a place, then, most likely, large individuals came to it, which, before starting to eat, explores the situation for a while. In this case, it is worth trying larger nozzles and some of their combinations.

When a large specimen has stopped, you need to turn the fishing rod towards the fish and raise it by 45 degrees relative to the horizon. Further with the help of a clutch, it is necessary to gently give the fish a frolic, and when it calms down (usually after 2-3 spurts), slowly pull it up and send it to the pod. Here such uneasy, but fascinating fishing. Bologna tackle will be an excellent arsenal to spend time in nature.
