Birch tar. Application in medicine and cosmetology

Birch tar, the use of which is known both in traditional and in folk medicine, is a product formed as a result of dry distillation of the outer part of the birch bark (birch bark). This liquid has a dark color and a strong characteristic odor. It is famous for its powerful antibacterial, antiseptic and antiparasitic properties.

This natural product effectively combats dandruff, stimulates hair growth, eliminates oily and dry seborrhea. To prepare various masks, lotions and creams, use tar tar water. This substance is also a component of therapeutic soap and shampoos.

At home, you can prepare tar soap according to the following recipe: take 200 grams of children's unrometed soap, grate it on a grater (preferably shallow) and put on a water bath in a metal container.

In the resulting mass, it is necessary to add a tablespoon of water and stir until the substance acquires a sticky consistency. In such a product, you need to pour birch tar and mix everything thoroughly. It should be remembered that this substance has a persistent strong odor, so be prepared for the fact that the container used for a long time can not be used for other purposes.

Dishes with the resulting product should be removed from the water bath and cooled to a temperature of about forty degrees. Then pour the warm mass into molds and leave until completely cooled. Such a soap will be ready in a week's stay in a room with direct air access.

Birch tar. Application for gynecological diseases

This natural product is perfectly suitable for the prevention and treatment of infections. It is recommended to use it as a means of intimate hygiene. Such a device effectively heals microtraumas and diaper rash of the skin, and it can be prepared independently. To do this, in birch tar should be added celandine oil, St. John's wort, chamomile, tea tree, yarrow and calendula. Compliance with the rules of personal hygiene and the use of this tool will make it possible to forget about thrush and various kinds of infections.

Birch tar, the use of which saves from the aforementioned ailments, is also used in the form of a ten or thirty percent ointment prepared with bear or badger fat. Such a device successfully copes with diseases of fungal and parasitic origin, such as scabies, pyoderma, pityriasis, epidermophytia. The drug is applied to the affected areas and kept until completely absorbed.

Recipes of traditional medicine

In order to strengthen the body's resistance to various infections and get rid of digestive disorders, birch tar is used inside. In such a case, it is recommended to prepare water infused on this product. The recipe for the preparation of a medicinal product is quite simple: add two teaspoons of tar per half liter of water. Take it should be twice a day.

This natural product is used to treat tuberculosis, pancreas and eczema of the lungs. First, use birch tar with milk in the following dosage: one drop of tar per fifty milliliters of milk. In the second week of using such a substance, the amount of tar is increased to two drops, the third - to three, and so on. The course of treatment should last at least ten weeks, then it is recommended to take a two-week break and repeat the procedure.

Careful application of this natural product excludes side effects from its use. However, it should be remembered that birch tar is contraindicated for persons suffering from kidney disease, psoriasis in exudative form and pyoderma.
