Suprax: instructions for use

The medicine "Supraks" is a semisynthetic antibiotic of the third generation with bactericidal action. Belonging to the group of cephalosporin, a wide-spectrum preparation "Suprax", the instruction for use explains this, it can be produced in the form of capsules or granules for the preparation of a suspension. The active substance in both treatment forms is cefixime. In tablets besides it enters silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, carmellose calcium. Additional substances in the granules for suspension are: yellow resin, sodium benzoate, sucrose, flavor with strawberry flavor.

Usually the average daily dose of the drug for patients over 12 years, does not exceed 400 mg on average. The medicine can be taken once or twice a day. However, children and adults, whose weight does not reach 50 kg, the calculation of dosage is made at the rate of 3, 9, 12 mg per kilogram of weight. Dosage is selected based on the diagnosis of the patient, his individual characteristics. Children are prescribed a suspension, adults - tablets. The course of taking the drug can not last more than 10 days.
