Asmir Begovic: all the fun about the Bosnian goalkeeper

Asmir Begovich was born in 1987, on the 20th of June. This is a fairly well-known football player, the goalkeeper, who today defends the colors of his national team (the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and London's Chelsea. He has quite an interesting career, so it's worth talking about it in more detail.

FC Portsmouth

Asmir Begovic concluded his first youth contract with the English team "Portsmouth", and two years later signed a full-fledged adult agreement. However, after this happened, the player was leased to other teams, and in those who are not the most prestigious place in the list of clubs. But the leadership of Portsmouth claims that this was done for a specific purpose. Asmira was sent there so that he could gain experience.

For the first time he was rented by La Louviere. It was a team from Belgium. As part of this club, Asmir Begovich went on the field only two times. Then he returned to his homeland and was immediately given to the "Macclesfield Town." In theory, the player had to spend a whole season there, however, only three times on the field, he suffered serious knee damage.

The most delicate career

In 2007, Asmir Begovich moved to Bournemouth - and again as a rental player. And the term of the contract was six months. But even there he did not stay long. At the moment of the "window" he even got into FC Portsmouth's application for the Premier League match against FC Aston Villa.

In 2008, he signed a contract with a team such as "Yeovil Town." And only on May 18, in 2009, he made his debut as a member of his club. He went out with the composition of "Portsmouth" on the field and defended the goal. The score was 3: 1. It was a match that took place in the Premier League against Sunderland. After that, he once again rented Ipswich Town, and then, on his return, he was finally entrenched in the main part of Portsmouth. Prior to his transition to Stoke City, he spent 15 teams with the team.

But then Asmir Begovich, whose photo is provided in the article, left. "Stoke City" gave him 3.25 million pounds. Offers came from "Tottenham Hotspur", but the goalkeeper refused.

Asmir Begović became especially famous in 2013, when in the match against Southampton, just 12 seconds from the start of the game (!) Knocked the ball out of his own penalty ... and just hit them in the opponent's gate. It was phenomenal. Goal recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. After all, he is really the farthest in the whole history of football (as much as 91.9 meters).

International career

Asmir Begovic in the mid-2000s was an advertising model of the famous company Adidas. After that, he was noticed and invited to play for the youth squad of the Canadian team. He agreed and appeared in 2007 at the World Youth Championship. August 14, he was called in the first Canadian team. Then there was a game against the Irish team. However, in that meeting, Asmira was not summoned to the field.

In November, the same happened. He was in the composition, but he did not get any playing time. So it could not continue, so in 2009, Asmir Begovic decided to agree to the proposal of the head coach of the Bosnian team. He was not against defending the honor of the team of the country in which he was born.
