Georgian Winger George Chanturia

George Chanturia is a Georgian football player who currently plays for the Russian "Ural". He is only 23 years old, so he is considered one of the most promising players in Georgia. Georgi Chanturia acts in the position of the right winger, but can also move to the left flank, or even take the position of the central striker.

Georgy Chanturia was born on April 11, 1993 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and from the age of 11 started playing football at the academy of a small local club called "Saburtalo". He spent five years there, and during that time he saw a huge talent. In 2009, he was leased for a season to the youth of Barcelona, where he returned only to move permanently to another youth academy of the European club - the Dutch "Vitesse". There he spent one year, and in 2011 he signed a professional contract with the club. In the first season he got a place in the base and played 31 matches, scoring 4 goals. However, the next season started for the player unsuccessfully, and he spent only four games in six months - in the second half of the season he was loaned to "Alania", for which he played only six matches. Returning, Georgi Chanturia continued performances for "Vitesse", but without much success - for six months he played 12 matches and scored two goals. As a result, in the winter of 2014 it was decided to sell it for one million euros to the Romanian "CFR Cluj".

George Chanturia is a footballer who was originally considered to be just an incredible talent, but gradually the enthusiasm faded away, and the player moved to weaker and weaker teams. In the "CFR" he played seven games in the remaining half of the season, scoring only one goal. As a result, in the summer of 2014 he was sold to the Italian "Verona".

Going to Verona and returning to the CFR

Three months passed and Chanturia was returned to Cluj on loan, since its form was far from ideal. He played 26 games, scoring 6 goals, but even this was not impressed by the leadership of Verona, so the contract with the Georgian was not extended.

Contract with Duisburg and return to Russia

All summer, the former genius sat without a contract, and only in September the German "Duisburg" offered him an agreement for one year. During this year, Chanturia played 22 games, scoring 4 goals, and when the contract expired, moved to the "Ural". There he had already played 14 games, scoring 4 goals and giving two assists, but now suffered a serious knee injury, because of which he will not be able to play until the summer. His contract is calculated until 2019, so Chanturia can still try to recover and return to the previous level in the Urals.
