This actor with an unusual name for the Soviet ear became a celebrity, having played only two interesting roles - Kostya in Sportloto 82 and Sergei in Take Care of Women (in this musical comedy he starred with his young wife Marina Shimanskaya). He is Arlauskas Algis Iosasovich, half Lithuanian, half Spanish in origin.

The beginning of his journey

He was born in Moscow, on August 7, 1957. Being still quite a child, he amazed others with his talent, expressed in imitation artists and cartoon characters. And he did not lose it when he became an adult.

Arlauskas Algis Iosasovich decided very early for himself that he would be an actor. And it happened. Diploma he received in the Theater School. Shchukin in 1978, and then five years was a troupe of the Moscow Youth Theater.

Creative success

His debut took place when Algis was only 16 years old. It was a serious military story - "The Jung of the Northern Fleet". For the young man shooting was a real test, because he wanted to do everything as best as possible, keeping up with the technology and work capacity from older comrades. His colleague on this film was Igor Sklyar, who also made his debut in 1973 in Soviet cinema.

Once again they were on the same set in 1981, when they worked on the musical film "Take care of women." It tells about the graduate of the Faculty of Journalism, Gen. Maslovsky. He is assigned to be drafted into the tug-boat "Cyclone" to write the reportage, the team of which includes some girls. The crew reluctantly takes the newcomer to the ship, and after learning that he does not know how to cook, he boycotts him.

Once Zhenya gets acquainted with the employees of the shipyard - Kostik, Vadim and Sergei. The role of the latter played Arlauskas Algis Iozasovich. The guys sang in the VIA "The Ninth Wave". Since Zhenya played the guitar, he was offered to occupy the place of his companion in their ensemble, which was eliminated. In this film, actors who were loved by all - actors Mikhail Pugovkin, Mikhail Kokshenov, Louise Mosendz, Nina Grebeshkova, Borislav Brondukov, Sergei Filippov were shot ... In the year of the film's release, 55 million viewers watched it. It was an absolute success. Although, there were rumors that "Gaidai is no longer the same."

Many years later, Arlauskas Alis Iosasovich told reporters: although he really became not just recognizable, but famous, he never praised the artistic merits of this film. The director, however, was not in the best shape - both for creative fuse and for health reasons. And yet, he is grateful to this film, because even today, although the actor does not already have that lush hair and mischievous freckles, he is still recognized.

Despite this, all the tapes with his participation are distinguished by a special elegance and quality. Now the actor complains about the fact that, as a documentary, movie fans do not particularly appreciate him. And he has quite a few interesting jobs behind him, the best of which is the "Letter of the Mother."

Life after the resounding success
