How to become a Russian? The answer to this question is known to the actors of the new sitcom from the channel "STS", the premiere of which was held in 2015. Only 20 episodes were enough for the American Alex Wilson to finally cut and sort out the complicated Russian humor. Who played the main roles in the comedy series "How did I become a Russian" and will it continue?

How to become Russian, or a short story of the new series

The protagonist of the series is an American named Alex. He works as a journalist in the famous American Post. Shortly before the events described in the film, Alex wrote an unmasking article about American politics. To protect himself, he was forced to leave the States for a while.

Boss Alex Wilson sends a young man with a business trip to Russia. Wilson obeyed the order, but from the first day of his stay in the new country he expected a dirty trick from the locals. The thing is that he was a hostage to the generally accepted stereotypes. With the development of the storyline, Wilson gets rid of the established standards and tells his countrymen not only how to become Russian, but also about the strengths and weaknesses of this people.

Critics appreciated the new project of the television channel "STS", filled with humor and funny plot twists. In addition, TV viewers and reviewers liked the angle of view, under which all events were considered: the creators of the project did not try to ridicule the American - rather, they modeled situations in which Russian viewers could laugh at themselves.

Will the continuation of the film be made, the producers of the series have not yet been informed.

"How I became a Russian": actors. Mateusz Damencky as Alex Wilson

On the role of an American journalist, Pole Mateusz Damencki was invited. The series "How I became a Russian" became the second Russian project, in which the Polish actor took part.

Mateusz was born in May 1881 in Warsaw. His family has been associated with theatrical art for generations. When Damnetskii graduated from high school, he decided to continue the acting dynasty and entered the Warsaw Theater Academy. Then the young actor served in many metropolitan theaters.

Since 1993 Mateusz has been shooting in Polish films and TV shows. In 1997, Damnetsky was even able to light up in the American vampire series "Clan". But this project did not last long. And in 2000, the actor tried himself in Russian cinema, playing in the historical film of Alexander Proshkin "Russian rebellion."

Mateusz was easy to get used to the image of a biased American, because in Poland itself the attitude to Russian culture is about the same. Perhaps this is justified by the choice of the producers of the sitcom in favor of the Polish artist.

Svetlana Ivanova as Ani

The main character did not have to long to wonder how to become a Russian. Thanks to his work in the office of the Russian newspaper edition, he learned to cope with Russian bosses-"tyrants". And Russian life Alex learned thanks to his tender feelings for the Russian girl Ana.

The role of Alex's sweetheart and part-time ambulance went to Svetlana Ivanova. Miniature Light began her career in Russian series, but already in 2005 in her filmography appeared such famous paintings as "9 companies", "Franz + Polina" and many other full-length films.

A special breakthrough for the girl was the main role in the Russian thriller by Anton Megerdichev "The Dark World". The picture was commercially successful. However, in the second part the girl was not invited, because the director changed the project. But Ivanova won a major role in another project - a fantastic action movie "August. Eighth ". Recently, Svetlana is increasingly participating in television projects.

Sergei Chirkov as Roman

The series "How I became a Russian" was also included in the filmography of the young Russian actor Sergei Chirkov. In the project he received the role of Russian friend Alex - Roman Bystrov.

Chirkov is a graduate of VGIK and GITIS. In the movie Sergei made his debut in 2002. The main role was first received in 2009 in the adventure action movie "On the Game." Together with Chirkov, Pavel Priluchny (Dark World-2), Marina Petrenko ("20 years without love"), Alexei Bardukov ("Saboteur") and Agnia Ditkovskite ("Heat") were shot in this project. Subsequently, Chirkov starred in the tapes "At Game-2" and "Gamers", which are a continuation of the project "On the Game."

The main roles also went to the actor in the films "The Island of Unnecessary People", "Happy Ticket", "Angel or Demon" and "New Year's Trouble". In 2016, four new films with the participation of Sergei Chirkov will appear on the screens.

Other performers of roles

The series "How I became a Russian" became another screen work for Nikita Panfilov - stars of TV series "London", "Major" and "Sweet Life".

The role of bitchy boss Alex in the Russian newspaper edition was played by Alexander Ursulyak - the daughter of the famous Russian director Ursulyak.

The film "How I became a Russian" also entered the filmography of the theater's actor. KS Stanislavsky - Vitaly Khayev. You can see Khayev in many television projects: Kamenskaya, Temptation, Orlova and Aleksandrov.
