Architecture of Japan, its uniqueness

The architecture of Japan is compositionally similar to the Chinese one, there are many similar features. The buildings are characterized by amazing simplicity, natural forms, elegance of structures. The design of the house differs filigree accuracy of manufacturing of wooden elements. In the composition, vivid colors are actively introduced , which perfectly match the panels of light color or with dark shades of wooden structures. One of the hallmarks of Japanese architecture is the use of an open base. Sliding wooden wall panels and sliding doors are used.

The architecture of Japan often uses the principle of asymmetry in its planning decisions. This is evidenced by typical wooden houses, whose construction resembles a pavilion. They were located among the greenery. Premises of wealthy owners often included a complex of such buildings. The main was the main one. It was designed for guests and was located behind a veranda that covered the main facade. Other rooms, utility rooms, were in the back. Such a pavilion was placed, as a rule, on a high base, this protected from dampness. The outer surfaces of the walls were made of bamboo grating, which was plastered. The ceiling was made of wooden boards and varnished. Window frames and partitions were mounted mobile. They were covered with special oiled paper, which transmits light. Such a house architecture allowed it to be turned into a veranda, or to combine several rooms together and create a large hall.

The architecture of Japan was expressed in the construction of monasteries. A large number of such buildings are located in the city of Nara. There are entire complexes with a clear layout. In the middle of the courtyard, which has the shape of a rectangle, is the condo (the golden hall where the statues are worshiped). There is also a reliquary tower, it is made of many-tiered. There are treasuries and outbuildings all along the perimeter. A special attraction is the main gate of the monumental (nadaimon), they are located from the south. The monastery "Horyudzi" is the oldest in Japan. It has preserved many ancient buildings, unique and beautiful frescoes adorn its architecture.

XIII century was marked by the beginning of the development of a new type of monasteries - the school of Zen, which assumed the erection of all buildings along the axis from north to south. Monasteries of such architecture were located on the slopes of mountains and perfectly blended with the surrounding nature. There were landscaped gardens and "stone gardens". Especially distinguished are "Five great Zen temples" (located nearby Tokyo). These are later buildings that are small in size. They well preserved the atmosphere of that time.

The architecture of Japan mastered the European forms from 1867 to 1912. In this period of time a gap was formed and by the end of the 20th century this country had become one of the world's leading construction companies. It combined universality and a bright individuality of buildings.

This is Japan, architecture is beautiful here.
