The name of the evergreen Anthurium plant can be translated from the Greek - Cvettail, it is also called the flamingo flower. The flower grown at home can reach a height of 60 to 90 centimeters. Choosing a plant in a flower shop, it is worth stopping on a specimen with glossy, hard leaves and several undisclosed buds. One of the most popular varieties for breeding at home is Anthurium Anre.

The plant belongs to the family of Aroids and grows in the tropics and subtropics of America. Therefore, the flower Anthurium care requires corresponding to its origin. So, the plant loves heat, diffused sunlight and high humidity. In accordance with this, it should be placed near the windows located on the east side, to monitor the temperature in the room. It should be between 20 and 26 degrees. That the plant does not start to hurt, in winter the temperature in the room should not be below eighteen degrees.

The plant does not like drafts, but it needs to ensure the flow of fresh air. If Anthurium does not bloom, then the fault may be insufficient lighting. Guests from the humid tropics must be regularly (twice a day) sprayed with water, and this should be done very carefully, so that water does not fall on the flowers. Another recommended to wrap the roots of the plant with moss-sphagnum, and spray not only the plant itself, but also moss. For watering, only soft, filtered water is suitable. The most abundant should be watering in spring and summer. In winter and autumn, the plant can be watered once a week, while the soil should not dry out. Leaves of the plant should be wiped with a damp sponge. Wilted flowers must be removed in order not to weaken the plant.

Like any other plant, it requires an additional fertilizer and Anthurium. Care of it involves the introduction of fertilizers once every 2-3 weeks during the spring and autumn. For this purpose, a shallow and wide enough pot is suitable, since the Anthurium has a root system that is located in the surface layer of the soil. For a transplant, a loose and breathable substrate consisting of peat, pieces of bark and moss-sphagnum, or a mixture of leaf and turf, sand and peat should be used.

If an Anthurium has taken root in your house, it can be multiplied in several ways. For plant breeding, its apical cuttings or lateral processes are suitable. You can grow Anthurium from seeds. Less common is the separation of the bush, because the roots of the plant are very fragile. Since the plant is an epiphyte, the most suitable for it will be growing in a specially created room greenhouse.
