Imperial hazel grouse: planting and caring for a beautiful plant

Among the most beautiful flowers that can be grown on its site, a special place is occupied by an amazing imperial hazel grouse. Planting and caring for this plant are fairly simple, but require some care in the timing of digging bulbs. If all the procedures for growing are carried out on time, there should not be any problems with young hazel grouses.

The landing of royal flowers

Before placing this plant on your site, you need to choose the optimal way how grouse will be grown. Planting and nursing will depend on whether the seed method is used or conventional vegetative. The first option is suitable for plant reproduction on an industrial scale. It allows you to get a large amount of planting material, but the first flowering will have to wait until 7 years. Therefore, usually amateur gardeners use the second method - reproduction by bulbs and babies. Annually, each such rootlet is divided into two viable parts. Much less often hazel grouses produce tiny babies, which are also suitable for self-planting.

There are several mandatory rules that allow you to get a fluffy hazel grouse. Planting and care (photo illustrates the flowering period) should always take into account the local climate and do not violate the requirements for the proper cultivation of such plants. Before planting in the ground, the bulbs do not need to be dried, as they do with tulips and lilies. It is ideal to immediately bury all new planting material, including small children.

The place for the flower is chosen warm, located in the penumbra, not subject to the influence of drafts. The soil will need fertile and well enough loosened. The royal hazel grouse, whose planting usually falls on the very beginning of autumn, does not tolerate the excessive waterlogging of the soil. Therefore, experienced flower growers recommend to equip the flower beds with this plant with good drainage. For the device of such drainage it is possible to use simple river sand, mixed with qualitative, but fresh humus. These components make it possible to "lighten" the soil and feed the young hazel grouse.

Planting and nursing begin with the excavation of bulbs in the middle-end of June, when the trunk of the plant begins to dry out and lean towards the ground. It is necessary to wait for 1-2 weeks and immediately remove the planting material until the roots are rotten. To bulge or stratify bulbs is not necessary - you can immediately bury them in new holes. If the grouse plans to buy in the store, it is better to do this in late August and immediately land the material in the ground. The distance between the pitches should be about 30 cm, and the maximum depth is calculated from the size of the bulbs. Large specimens require 20-25 cm, medium - 13-20 cm, and small - 6-12 cm.

Imperial hazel grouse, planting and caring for which are reduced to choosing a place and timely watering - a sufficiently frost-resistant plant. However, if winters are not very snowy, you should cover the flowerbed with fir or pine paws. The plant can safely transfer the spring frosts to -6 ° C. The soil should be occasionally and shallowly rind, mineral fertilizers should be introduced, but with watering one must be careful. Since the root bulbs can quickly rot, you need to gently moisten the soil: moderately, but regularly. With proper care grouse can actively grow and bloom in one place for 2-3 years, after which they need to be digged and transferred to a new site.
