The concept of the series

The main ideological inspirer of the TV show - Shonda Rhimes - conceived this project as a story about the life of strong women who are competitors in work and in love. But over time the concept has changed somewhat.

From the first season, the spectator watches the life of interns in the Seattle Grace Hospital, among which are both women and men. Like medical workers in ordinary life, they are full of strength and hope, working tirelessly, becoming residents and real doctors who, in turn, educate and train new interns.

In their lives besides work there are other moments, quite dramatic. None of the heroes of the series has not avoided the fate of experiencing some grief. But since this show is about the strong spirit, they staunchly accept all the trials. Perhaps, therefore, over the decade, TV viewer's favorite is not some other series, namely "Anatomy of Passion".

The actors of this project grew and developed together with their characters, they also received new experience and tried at all costs to fulfill their mission.

The doctors were Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson). In the second season, characters such as Kelly Torres (Sarah Ramirez), Addison Montgomery (Keith Walsh) were introduced to the permanent line-up .

In the third season, the cast was joined by Lexie Gray (Kyler Lee). Until the tenth season, the cast did not change, but then Joe Wilson (Camilla Laddington), Stephanie Edwards (Jerrik Hinton) received the status of the main characters.

In the last seasons of the series "Anatomy of Passion" the actors have also been updated. Katerina Skorsone entered the permanent lineup with the role of Amalia Shepard, and Kelly McCreery played Gray's half-sister , Margaret Pierce.

The first actress from the TV show went to Brooke Smith, who played cardiac surgeon Eric Khan. She was Kelly Torres' first homosexual experience. In fact, her character did not last the season. Producers motivated their decision to dismiss the actress in that they could not create a bright enough hero, so they could not have a common future with Kelly.

In 2010, the project left Catherine Heigl. Her heroine Izzy has experienced much: loss of a loved one, diagnosis of "cancer" and cure for him, gaining new feelings with his colleague Alex Karev. Heigl left at will, saying that she wanted to devote more time to the family.

In the eighth season, two characters left the scene. Teddy Altman after the death of her husband decided to return to work in the army. But with Lexi Gray, the producers acted really cruelly. She died in a plane crash in front of her beloved Mark Sloane.

A real blow for the fans of the series was the departure of actress Sandra O. For her heroine Christina Young, there was nothing tragic, she began to manage the cardio-research center in Switzerland.

The actors of the series "Anatomy of Passion" also left their workplace for ten years. The first was done by Isaiah Washington, who played the role of a brilliant surgeon - Dr. Burke. The reason for his dismissal was an ethical conflict. He spoke sharply about the sexual orientation of his colleague TR Knight.

Two years later, he left the project, motivating it that his hero has an underdeveloped storyline. George O'Malley died in the very end of the season, hitting the bus.

In 2012, following his lover, Mark Sloan dies from the injuries. Eric Dane, who played this role for six years, remained grateful to the producers for the opportunity to participate in such a grandiose project as "Anatomy of Passion".

Actors, whose photos began to appear on the covers of famous publications after filming in the series, received many opportunities for further self-realization. Including Robert Baker (his character was killed in a shootout) and Guy Charles.

In the eleventh season, the series left Patrick Dempsey for personal reasons. His hero, Derek Shepard, could not reanimate after a serious car accident.
