The new terminal for passengers of the Kurumoch International Airport in Samara was launched on February 24 this year. There is an airport 35 kilometers from Samara, from the north of the city, not far from the village of Bereza. The present name of it came from the village of the same name, which is located not far, seven kilometers to the south-west.

Also, regular flights depart from the railway and bus stations of Samara. From the village of Bereza there is a bus number 78. But it is municipal, so the stop is 200 meters from the terminal. The new airport is the most promising in the entire Volga region. The area of the passenger terminal is 42,600 m ² , which is four times more than the previous one. Without stopping the operation of the complex, thanks to special constructions, it can be increased to 60 000 m ² on the sides. The organization of passenger traffic inside the terminal simultaneously allows for landing on 12 aircraft. Twenty-four check-in counters have been installed. The airport complex has a total capacity of at least 1400 people per hour. Now has a renovated airport Samara. "Kurumoch" was able to serve about 3,500,000 passengers per year, and dozens of new infrastructure facilities were built, including access roads, utilities, a cargo complex, parking for more than 1,400 people.

Reconstruction of the airport, its end date

The airport (Samara), which is called Kurumoch, has two runways that are perpendicular to each other and equipped with the most modern landing systems. Fifty parking lots are equipped here. Within the framework of the project, the following has been implemented: light signaling equipment, reinforced asphalt concrete runways, taxiways, treatment facilities, a freight apron, a platform for processing aircraft with a special fluid in winter. Complete completion of the airport reconstruction is planned in two years - in 2017. All the related facilities will be completed. It is planned to connect Togliatti and Samara with aeroexpress.
