AMOLED display - foreseeable future

We constantly hear that many world companies are constantly working on the creation of new devices and technologies for the future. This future is coming today, because we use devices that were very complex and impossible 5-10 years ago. However, just such devices as mobile phones, computers, tablets and so on, develop faster all. Telecommunications and data transmission technologies can also be included here. In fact, we can observe that now there is some kind of globalization and unification in one network.

However, the devices themselves are also undergoing serious changes. They become smaller and more compact, but under such a small body it is possible to "hide" a much more complex and powerful stuffing. With the proliferation of touchscreen smartphones and tablet PCs, special demands have been made on the quality of the screen. And the requirements are such that the quality of the picture display tablet or smartphone in no way inferior to the screens of computers or modern TVs. And the manufacturers have created a new technology - AMOLED display.

AMOLED technology

The full name of this technology is Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode. Most companies have already switched to the use of this technology in their devices - almost all screens of new devices are created using this technology. The essence of this innovation is that AMOLED display allows to solve the standard problem for all previous generations of screens - poor color reproduction, low contrast, weak brightness and, as a consequence, fading of the screen in bright sun. In other words, a phone or any other device is almost impossible to use in bright daylight.

In addition to external improvements, the AMOLED display is designed to solve yet another problem - power consumption. Since with the development of devices and capacity building, energy consumption is constantly growing. Now manufacturers are trying to reduce this dependence, so that smartphones can work longer. AMOLED display can effectively consume battery power, and the screen has always remained the most energy-intensive part, especially with the advent of large touchscreens.

Disadvantages and advantages of AMOLED

Like any relatively new technology, AMOLED is not without flaws. It takes time to get rid of them. The screen may fade with time, in addition, improved brightness and contrast sometimes make the image unnatural, and because of problems when trying to display the color balance, some noise may appear.

Nevertheless, AMOLED technology continues to develop successfully, and many specialists and ordinary users have recognized its advantages. Gradually it is brought to the mind, AMOLED TVs are now actively appearing, which successfully replace the plasma panels. The only thing that remained the main obstacle in the way of promotion to the market is a higher cost. As a rule, users are distrustful of new technologies, because the price is higher, and the devices themselves have some drawbacks.

However, the disadvantages even at the very beginning of the emergence of technology and its use were much less than the pros. And after manufacturers were able to reduce the price of their devices, consumers became interested in technology and began to actively acquire such smartphones and TVs. Did not stay aside and tablet computers, now before buying the client usually checks what screen, what features it has, etc. You can say that consumers have become more picky, so they want to choose only the best. Together with this, companies struggling for leadership positions, strive to bring the proposed products to mind. And for the technology AMOLED screens - this is definitely a step into the future.
