From the history of the resort

The land on which Gelendzhik is located was inhabited for a very long time. Already in the 3rd millennium BC ancient tribes settled here. For a long history, the peoples who inhabited this region changed, here was the Greek colony, later the Byzantine cities.

In the 15th century the territory moved to the Ottoman Empire. According to the Treaty of Andrianople in 1829, the Black Sea coast became part of the Russian Empire.

Climate

This is a fairly rare alliance of the sea climate with the mountain. In Gelendzhik a lot of sunny days, and, which is especially pleasant, most of them fall in the summer season.
