"Aminosol Neo": instructions for use, description and reviews

Unfortunately, for some serious illnesses, patients require parenteral nutrition. Only in this way the body can get enough nutrients. Often for this, modern medicine uses a solution of Aminosol Neo, which helps maintain normal cell activity. Of course, patients are interested in additional information about the drug.

The drug "Aminosol Neo": photo, composition and form of release

Of course, to begin with it is necessary to understand the composition and form of the drug. What is Aminosol Neo? The description given in the official instruction says that the medicine is used for parenteral nutrition and contains the electrolytes and amino acids necessary for the body.

In particular, there are more than a dozen amino acids in the form of L-isomers, including methionine, arginine, alanine, proline, histidine, tyrosine, phenylalanine, tryptophan, serine, leucine, valine, isoleucine, lysine monoacetate. As ancillary components, purified water and glacial acetic acid are used.

Aminosol Neo is available in the form of a solution for intravenous administration. It is clear, colorless, but sometimes has a yellow or even a brown tinge. In the pharmacy you can buy the drug in glass bottles, with a volume of 500 ml.

In some cases, patients are prescribed a solution of Aminosol Neo-E, which besides the amino acid complex also contains a set of electrolytes, including sodium, calcium, potassium, chlorine, magnesium, glycerophosphate and some other ions.

By the way, you can buy bottles with a solution only in hospital hospitals and only if you have a prescription from a doctor - the drug does not sell at usual pharmacy points. Keep it better in a cool room, protecting from direct sunlight (the optimum temperature is considered to be 15-25 ° C). Shelf life - 2 years from the date of production.

In what cases is the drug used: the indications

As already mentioned, the drug is widely used in modern medicine for partial or complete parenteral nutrition. In particular, indications for the procedure are:

  • Hypermetabolic conditions, including severe trauma, sepsis, massive burns;
  • Severe forms of diseases of the digestive system, including pancreatitis, the presence of fistulas and inflammations in the intestinal wall, obstruction, malabsorption, in a word, those situations in which normal nutrition is impossible;
  • The drug is used to saturate the body with useful substances before the surgical intervention and in the post-operation period;
  • Oncological diseases sometimes also do not allow patients to eat enterally.

Medication "Aminosol Neo": instructions for use

Only a doctor can select a drug suitable for the patient and determine the dosage. The official instruction for the drug "Aminosol Neo" contains only general recommendations, leaving behind the expert the right to correct the treatment regimen.

The solution is introduced by infusion into one of the central veins. Dosage depends on many factors, including the concentration of the drug itself and the body weight of the patient. If it is a question of applying a 10% solution, then the daily dose is 10-20 ml for each kilogram of the body (20 ml with the maximum permissible dose). It is recommended to inject liquid at a rate of 20-35 drops per minute (not faster).

When a solution with a concentration of 15% is introduced, the daily dose is 6.7-13.3 ml per kilogram of body weight of the patient. People, whose body weight is 70 kg, usually enter from 470 to 930 ml of solution per day at a rate of 16 drops per minute.

A sick person must be under the care of a doctor or a nurse. For patients with renal insufficiency, the dosage changes - about 6-10 ml of solution per day (per kilogram of body) is shown. In people with hepatic insufficiency, the protein requirement is also less - they are administered from 8 to 11 ml per kg.

Contraindications to therapy

Can all patients be assigned a solution of Aminosol Neo? The instruction says that some restrictions still exist. Here is their list:

  • Severe forms of hepatic and renal insufficiency;
  • Shock states;
  • Metabolic acidosis;
  • Oxygen deficiency;
  • Decompensated stage of heart failure.

This drug is not prescribed to women during the period of gestation and feeding the child (if there is a need to use the solution in lactation, breastfeeding should be stopped for a while).

Has a medicine and age restrictions. Its effect has not been studied in a group of children and adolescents under the age of 18, so the consequences of therapy are unknown. With diabetes, liver disease, hypertension and sepsis, the drug can be used, but very carefully - the patient should be under the constant supervision of medical personnel.

What side effects are possible?

As the doctors testify, the drug "Aminosol Neo" in most cases is tolerated by the body well. Adverse reactions, as a rule, occur with an incorrect dosage or non-compliance with the rules of administration.

If the solution is administered too quickly, patients experience tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, increased sweating. In those cases when along with this drug the patient additionally takes amino acid preparations, allergic reactions can develop, including the appearance of skin rash and itching, dyspnea and bronchial spasm. The consequences are also a sharp decrease in blood pressure (up to the shock state).

All the above symptoms disappear when the medication is stopped. Against the background of therapy, there is often a decrease in folate levels in the body, so patients are always additionally prescribed folic acid.

When injected into a peripheral vessel, irritation of its walls is possible. There is a possibility of infection of the wounds left after the infusion, therefore it is necessary to observe all sanitary norms and closely monitor the patient's condition.

Overdose and its signs

Cases of overdose are known. The introduction of too much solution is accompanied by severe nausea, which often results in vomiting. Other signs include a sharp increase in body temperature, as well as tachycardia. In some patients there is a violation of the electrolyte composition of the plasma.

It should immediately be said that the above disorders are reversible. Termination of therapy or a decrease in the amount of the drug leads to the disappearance of all signs. In some cases, symptomatic therapy is performed depending on the disorders present.

Additional Information

The solution should not be mixed with other drugs and administered simultaneously. It is worth noting that drug interaction is possible. For example, the drug "Aminosol Neo" is incompatible with thiopental sodium. With the simultaneous use of arginine (the constituent of the drug) and spironolactone in patients, development of severe hyperkalemia is observed.

At simultaneous reception of a drug with an aminophylline and some diuretics the level of an insulin in blood raises. If you are taking oral hormonal contraceptives, this should also be reported to your doctor, since co-administration can cause an increase in the amount of growth hormone produced.

If we are talking about the treatment of patients with diabetes, then with parenteral nutrition with this solution, patients need to administer insulin - this applies to people with both the first and the second type of diabetes (even if before the need for the use of synthetic insulin was not).

Analogues and drug prices

Not all therapy is suitable with the use of Aminosol Neo solution. Analogues of this drug, of course, exist. Many doctors prescribe such solutions for parenteral nutrition as "Aminoven" and "Aminol" as a substitute. Quite analogous are also considered "Aminosteril", "Gepasol", "Kabiven", "Infhechol". Many of them are used in pediatrics for the treatment of premature infants.

Of course, the choice of a substitute can only be a doctor - the independent use of any nutrient solutions can only harm.

As for the cost, the solution bottle will cost approximately 650-800 rubles, depending on the place of purchase and the manufacturer.

Advantages and disadvantages of the medicine: reviews of specialists and patients

What do the doctors say about Aminosol Neo? The reviews are mostly positive. The solution really helps to maintain the normal functioning of the patient's body, restores the balance of electrolytes. Therapy usually runs smoothly, without any complications, and there are not so many contraindications.

Patients also note the absence of side effects and discomfort during infusion. Unfortunately, the cost of the medicine is high, and for completing the full course, several bottles are needed, which can be attributed to the shortcomings of the medicine. But there is a positive effect of treatment, and health is more expensive than any money. In any case, in such severe conditions, in which the patient needs parenteral nutrition, all the recommendations of the treating specialist must be strictly followed.
