Amazing Cratons Flowers: Care and Reproduction

This decorative plant belongs to the family of Euphorbia, that is, with any minor damage from the trunk or leaves, white thick juice can stand out. Flowers cratons have long become popular pet pets for many housewives in our country, they are loved for bright wide mottled leaves and the ability to purify indoor air from many kinds of bacteria.

To grow a plant is not a permanent race for survival, you need to prepare in advance. This is especially true of the temperature regime, because one of the most thermophilic domestic species is, definitely, the flower craton. How to care for him so that there are no problems? The temperature should never be below +17 o C, you need to protect the flower from any drafts and possible changes in humidity. The ideal mode will be maintaining the mark at +22 о С, if it is lower - the roots of the plant will quickly decay and the leaves will fall off.

Flowers cratons are placed on well-illuminated windowsills, but we must avoid the direct hot rays of the sun, which can burn mottled leaves. In winter, the plant is exposed in the southern or western direction, and in the summer - in the east or west. The northern windows are not suitable for this type of Euphorbia. If there is not enough light, the flowers of the cratons will lose their decorative color and become simply green.

Watering the plant should be abundant, but only in spring and summer, when the maximum evaporation of moisture occurs. In autumn and winter, you can simply regularly spray leaves from the atomizer with cold water and pour a little liquid under the root once every 1-2 weeks. To know that the flowers of the cratons suffer from a lack of moisture, it is easy: the large leaves immediately fall and adhere to the walls of the pot. Water must be defended and kept warm, if you use the usual cold watering, you can lose all the leaves in one day. The surrounding humidity must always be high, since the plant comes from the tropics.

The main way to get a new plant is to detach the apical stem 10-12 cm in size. Make a similar procedure with a sharp knife, and then immerse the resulting material in warm water with dilute charcoal. If there is no special fertilizer, the usual pharmacy activated analogue will work. It is necessary to wait for the complete dissolution of the milky juice, after which the stalk should be dried with a cloth or simply in the air. To the leaves do not interfere, they are not very tightly tied from above and planted croton in a mini-greenhouse. The soil is prepared from a mixture of moss sphagnum or peat with the addition of river sand. Next, you need to sprinkle the stalk every day and ventilate the greenhouse. Roots should appear within one month, but you can accelerate this process using the fertilizer "Zircon" or "Kornevin".

Other ways of reproduction are seed sowing or sprouting seedlings and planting croton with air layers. In January and February, you can plant the flower in the same mini-greenhouse, but it is worthwhile to wet the material in phytohormones for at least 2 hours. The first shoots will appear only for 3-4 weeks, so that cuttings propagation is a more reliable and faster method.
