Advantages of man and his shortcomings

Although it is believed that man was created by God, in His image and likeness, he is a sinful and imperfect being. However, the dignity of a person is also undeniable, as are his shortcomings. And among these shortcomings are such unsightly qualities as pride, greed, envy, condemnation, intolerance, stubbornness, and so on, you can list for a long time. Many of these qualities, unfortunately, are laid in a person since childhood, that is, they are the result of incorrect parenting of the child in the family by the parents.

Advantages and demerits of a person do not appear in him suddenly and suddenly, it is understandable. To form the distinctive features of a child's character, everything is applied from the parents themselves and from the close environment, and continuing with the kindergarten, school and so on. For example, if in childhood the child was constantly driven, forced to hurry, when he had to run to a large number of circles and sections, try to do everything in time, otherwise he would be scolded - he formed such a quality as impatience. There is also stubbornness when parents constantly try to go against the will of the child and cause him to have a constant sense of protest, and permissiveness, on the contrary, leads to debauchery and arrogance.

Disadvantages, like human dignity, of course, have deep roots. Greed can form in the child from lack of love and attention, from this, despair and despondency may appear, which will then lead to self-abasement. Then there will be a boss who will suppress his will, so in a person there will arise fear, hypocrisy, obsequiousness that will not lead him to self-esteem and dignity.

What is human dignity, as they are expressed in life and in character? In fact, according to Dal's dictionary, dignity is respect, a set of fairly high moral qualities. And do not confuse it with arrogance, these are completely different things. When they say that this person is worthy, they mean that he is worthy of respect, thanks to his valuable personal qualities, behavior in society, actions and so on. If a person begins to inflate his price, he becomes arrogant, thus losing respect for the honor and dignity of the individual. Therefore, we must understand that these are completely different things.

Advantages and demerits of a person continue to form and when it comes out of childhood, under the influence of society. A positive assessment of his behavior, actions, elevates him in the public eye. This can give him strength and desire to fight with his shortcomings and strive for further improvement. A negative evaluation by public opinion can lead to aggravation of these shortcomings, therefore, ideally, this assessment should be objective.

Recognition of the human dignity of a society means a certain evaluation concerning its moral qualities. The more qualities such as honesty, respect for people, nobility, benevolence, sincerity, modesty, sensitivity and so on are manifested in him, the greater the value such a person represents to society. Accordingly, if parents want to raise their child as a worthy member of this society, they must, from childhood, lay down and develop in them these positive qualities.

- Shame and conscience. Believers say that this voice of God inside a person tells him what is good and what is bad and leads to the desire to repent of their bad deeds.

- Honor. These are the moral principles and qualities of a person worthy of respect from society.

- Self-respect. A person who possesses this feeling will never infuriate anyone with insult, nor humiliate or offend another.

This is the advantage of communicating with a person who has honor and dignity.
