The future writer was born in Kherson in the family of Russian and Ukrainian. From the very childhood Boris showed a craving for art. Most of all the boy was attracted by music. It is for this reason that Evseev tried to play various instruments (guitar, piano, drums). However, most of all the boy liked the violin on which he played since six years. In 1971, Boris Evseev graduated from the Kherson Music College, which at that time was considered quite a prestigious institution.

After that, young talent moves to Moscow. There, Boris enters the Russian Academy of Music (RAM) named Gnesins.

During the training, Boris Timofeevich gets acquainted with Georgy Kunitsyn, who taught aesthetics in Gnesinka. A well-known literary critic and philosopher inspired Yevseyev. It is for this reason that Boris makes a test of the pen. The young man wrote a short story, which narrated about a man shooting prisoners in prison. In the same year, Evseev wrote a letter in defense of the famous Russian playwright and writer Solzhenitsyn.

In 1978, thanks to the help of friends, a two-volume edition of Yevseyev's early work was published in Samizdat.

The writer could not support himself at the expense of literary activity, which brought him a mere penny. It is for this reason that Evseev earned his living with the help of his musical talent. The writer worked in a local orchestra as a musician. Nevertheless, Evseev did not forget his passion for literature. He continued to write short stories. In addition, Boris actively participated in public life. Thus, he was one of the first to organize the cycle of Open lectures of Archpriest Alexander Men in Moscow.

Further activities

The writer approached his work with great passion. It is for this reason that in 1999 Yevseyev became deputy editor-in-chief in the popular weekly "Book Review". The writer did not relinquish his career, and two years later he received the post of editor-in-chief at the publishing house Chronicler.

At the moment Evseev is a professor at the Institute of Journalism and Literary Creativity. He quite often holds various author's lectures on contemporary literature, conducts master classes of prose, etc.

Among other things, Boris Evseev was awarded a whole bunch of various titles and titles. For example, the writer is a full member of the Union of Russian Writers, the Writers' Union of Moscow, the Executive Committee of the Russian PEN Club. In addition, Evseev is known as the founder of the Union of Russian Writers, chairman of the jury of the Russian award "Chekhov's Gift", the Literary Prize named after Yuri Rytkhau, the All-Russian Prize named after Vadim Vasilievich Passek.

Creation

Boris Evseev is published since 1991 (except for the works that came out through "Samizdat"). His first book, which was a collection of lyrical works, was published in 1993. For a fairly short period of time, Evseev managed to gather a fairly broad base of readers. In addition, the writer received flattering reviews from critics. They did not deprive Boris Timofeevich of his talent and academics. For his literary career, the writer was awarded many prestigious awards ("The Big Book", "Noncomformism", "Clear Glade", etc.). Attention was given to such books as "Renounced Hymns", "Evstigney", "Flaming Air".

Poetry

Boris Evseev is not only a talented prose writer. His lyrical works are no less interesting. Yevseyev's poems are considered a true brilliant of contemporary Russian literature. And his cult collections of poetry, "Six-wing" and "Romance in the back", are sold in huge editions. Moreover, Evseev's creativity found its followers abroad.
