White language

In itself, the plaque formed in the tongue has no special significance and does not in all cases indicate the development of any pathologies associated, in particular, with the gastrointestinal tract. For example, patients with stomach ulcers have a perfectly normal language. In healthy people, it can become covered with film after prolonged starvation.

Plaque is formed in connection with changes in threadlike papillae, which is usually associated with the age of the person, the degree of mobility of the tongue, the state of its circulation, salivation.

The causes of its appearance can serve as diseases of the organ itself, the upper region of the respiratory tract, the oral cavity, the digestive system, and the lungs. In addition, the provoking factors include circulatory disorders, smoking, fever.

Most often it is white. The reasons for its appearance are different. White language can be practically in all diseases, which are accompanied by an increase in temperature. So, for example, with scarlatina, a light raid appears in the center of the organ. Chronic or acute gastritis is indicated by a damp white tongue. This characteristic is an unpleasant smell and taste in the mouth. With duodenal or gastric bleeding, white tongue becomes. In this case, the plaque is slimy and thick - it is very difficult to remove. To accompanying bleeding against a gastritis smell from the mouth can join a sweet specific smell. In the absence of other manifestations, this symptom allows you to recognize bleeding. With prolonged starvation or a prolonged milk diet, the white tongue also becomes. The same film as in gastritis, is formed with diseases in the pancreas.

White language in an adult with dryness in the oral cavity, a characteristic ammonium smell indicates renal failure, which can be accompanied by uremia or azotemia.

Often the patients are severely weakened, with neglected conditions, a continuous film is observed in the oral cavity. She covers it all, not just the language. It is easily removed. As a rule, this indicates the development of a fungal disease "thrush" (candidiasis). To clarify the diagnosis in some cases resorted to microscopic examination of the plaque. The analysis reveals the presence of fungal filaments. However, as a rule, thrush is diagnosed easily enough. The reason for the development of this fungal disease is most often insufficient hygiene.

White language in the child often indicates the presence of any pathology. Normally the organ should be pink in color, smooth.

The appearance of a whitish film on the tongue of a baby can indicate a disorder in the digestion. In this case, you need to adjust the diet. On the development of gastritis or dysbiosis can indicate a flat white coating. If the child is not gaining weight badly , diarrhea or constipation, colic, bloating or nausea regularly appear, it should be shown to the doctor. The gastroenterologist will appoint additional tests if necessary and diagnose. In accordance with this, treatment will be prescribed. If the plaque looks in the form of grains, then, perhaps, it is a thrush or stomatitis. When spreading the lesion on the cheeks and the sky, the baby should be shown to his dentist.

Depending on the localization of the problem in the language, you can talk about those or other pathologies. So, for example, with ailments of the thick part of the intestine, plaque is formed on the posterior third. When the middle third is affected, there is a disruption in the operation of the duodenum. With an increase in acidity, the tip of the tongue is red with a film in the center. If the lesions are common around the edges and tip of the organ, there may be problems with the respiratory system.
