Yet the amazing word is "whiskey". It sees brutal cowboys in Marlboro style, sun-burned prairies, thick smoke of strong cigars ... What drink can be considered more masculine than whiskey, and what kind of whiskey can be considered more American than whiskey Jim Beam? It's a brand, it's a symbol, and since 2007, by the decision of the US Senate, it's also a recognized national alcoholic beverage.

Now under the brand "Jim Beam" comes out more than a dozen names of whiskey. How not to get lost, do not make a mistake and choose a drink to your liking? Let's take a closer look at the history of the brand and its major modern brands.

It all began in the distant 1788, when an energetic farmer Jacob Beam moved to Kentucky, built a mill in his estate and argued with neighbors that whiskeys from corn tasted better than traditional barley. No sooner said than done. Neighbors recognized that they were mistaken, and bourbon appeared - a drink named after the Bourbon district of Kentucky. At the end of the 18th century, the home company for the production of this alcoholic beverage was founded, and in 1795 the first barrel of whiskey "Jim Beam" was officially sold.

Since then, the company was headed exclusively by immigrants from the Bim family - the direct descendants of Jacob Beam.

This alcoholic beverage is obtained with the obligatory use of corn and barley flour, and then kept for a long time in charred oak barrels. Thanks to this sugar turns into caramel, and whiskey acquires a special recognizable taste. A few years later they produce blend - that is, spirits of different years are mixed and diluted with water. So different varieties of whiskey are obtained, the reviews about which differ only in the degree of enthusiasm. Under each label there is a unique taste, and true connoisseurs of "Jim Beam" distinguish them with their eyes closed.

Whiskey "Jim Beam White" (white label) - this is the most common grade in the product line. Produce it according to the very first recipe developed by Jacob Beam. Fortress - 40 degrees, aging - 4 years, color - orange-amber, fragrance - floral with light woody notes.

They also release "Jim Beam White" with a seven-year endurance. The label reads "Premium Aged 7 Years Old".

"Jim Beam Black" (black label) is a six-year-old bourbon. The fortress is 43 degrees, the color is dark amber, the aroma is very rich, floral-woody.

The black label also produces "Jim Beam Black Domestic", which is distinguished by its eight-year aging and a characteristic long aftertaste with caramel notes.

"Jim Beam Red Stag" is a novelty of the company, four-year-old whiskey with interesting natural flavors. Fortress drink - 43 degrees, the smell - a classic bourbon with notes of cherries, aftertaste - a long, characteristic sweetish.

Of the less common varieties, you can name "Jim Beam Green" (green label) - five year old, with a strength of 40 degrees, "Jim Beam Yellow" (yellow label) - an interesting kind of rye whiskey, as well as low-alcohol "Cola" and "Ginger Ale" .

Whiskey "Jim Beam" exists in the collection series. These are gift options for true connoisseurs of the drink. For example, the variety "Booker's", which is bottled directly from the barrels, bypassing the stage of blending and dilution. Moreover, for this grade, alcohol is used exclusively from barrels standing in the center of the storehouse, as there are the most favorable conditions for holding the whiskey. The result is a unique eight-year drink with a strength of 63 degrees.

Another product from the collection series - "Knob Greek", named after the estate in which Abram Lincoln lived. A distinctive feature of this variety is a sweet maple aftertaste and a strength of 50 degrees.

Also in this series is the spicy islanded whiskey "Basil Hayden's" and the extremely mild "Baker's" variety.

Traditional types of whiskey "Jim Beam" are often diluted with apple, cherry juice or Coca-Cola.

But the noble exquisite taste and characteristic long aftertaste are fully revealed only in pure undiluted bourbon with ice. So choose from a variety of varieties and enjoy!
