What to feed the chihuahua can, and what to give the dog should not

When asked what to feed the chihuahua, dog breeders who prefer large four-legged friends will shrug their shoulders in surprise. Is this breed of dogs something special from others? It turns out that it is very different!

On the one hand, it will not be costly to purchase food for chihuahua even for a person who does not have large capitals - dogs of this breed eat extremely little.

However, one should remember well that they eat chihuahua, and what is contraindicated for them. Perhaps, first you need to talk about prohibitions in their diet, and only then about what to feed the chihuahua can.

The first in the list of prohibitions is pork, sausages and smoked products. Too fat and spicy food is destructive to the liver, and supplements that are in sausages are generally extremely toxic to them! On the second place are cabbage (except for sauerkraut) and various types of legumes. These products cause abdominal bloating, digestive tract spasms, protein indigestion. In third place are sweets, as they destroy teeth, cause tearing and constipation.

Milk and sour-milk products in the Chihuahua diet should be treated very carefully - the approach to this type of food should be purely individual.

Still it should be remembered that food for any four-footed pet should be neutral temperature. Therefore, cold food should be heated, and hot, on the contrary, cool. Foods and water for the rational nutrition of dogs should be benign and fresh. Water is better to give filtered or mineral non-carbonated, but, in no case, not boiled.

After talking about inhibitions in feeding is over, you can begin to cover the topic, than to feed the chihuahua you need. Necessary for the healthy content of this breed of dogs are beef, horse meat, veal, boiled sea fish fillet, except pollock, and boiled chicken. From the chicken and fish you need to select all the bones, so that the dog does not choke on them. It is also not desirable to give the dog a chicken skin. Once a week you can give offal. Actually, fish should not be too involved too - it takes chihuahua no more than twice a week.

Porridge of rice, corn, buckwheat and oatmeal is very useful for domestic dogs, but macaroni should not be given often and only very well cooked. Once a week, it is necessary to include a boiled egg in the dog's diet in order to improve the condition of their wool. Eggs can also be offered chihuahua in the form of omelets, but not raw, so as not to infect the dog with salmonella.

Very important for pets are vitamins, which are found in vegetables and fruits. But they are best absorbed in stew or boiled form. If a furry pet likes to indulge in raw vegetables, then they must be rubbed, because dogs do not have the habit of chewing food, swallowing whole pieces. Salads to improve the taste and increase their nutritional value should be flavored with half a teaspoon of sour cream or vegetable oil.

Carrots and pumpkins among vegetables in dog food are of prime importance, since they are anthelmintic. Also, orange vegetables improve the color of the coat, increasing its pigmentation. Among fruits, bananas are considered to be the best, although you should not neglect all other species.

However, some dog lovers believe that there is nothing better than feeding the chihuahua with dry food. Nobody will argue with the fact that this type of feeding greatly simplifies the care of dogs. Moreover, dry food helps to remove the stone formation from dog teeth, to which chihuahua is so prone.

But the best option is still the combined food, which includes both natural products and dry food. The main condition that must be met by Chihuahua lovers is the fact that you need to feed your pet twice a day. But the fresh and clean water should be in the crumb in the water bottle to be constantly.

If the basic rules of keeping pets are observed, caring owners will surely receive in return attachment and fidelity to their four-legged "smaller brothers".
