What is VSD and how to treat it

Vegeto vascular dystonia (VSD) is a very "popular" diagnosis, especially recently. This disease affects mainly residents of large cities, adolescents in the transition period, pregnant women and women breastfeeding. The risk group can also include women from 20 to 40 years old, people with a disability of the endocrine system. In medicine, this ailment is still called neuro-circulatory dystonia (NDC).

Some doctors believe that VSD is not a separate disease, but a whole set of different symptoms that are caused by a violation in the work of the central nervous system. A person suffering from frequent dizziness, excessive sweating, rapid or slow heartbeat, difficulty breathing, insomnia; A person who feels numbness and tingling in the limbs, quickly becomes tired, whose health is associated with a change in the weather, is likely to suffer from VSD.

Let's consider what is the VSD and what are its main manifestations. As we see from the listed signs, vegeto-vascular dystonia has some similarity with a whole group of completely different diseases - vascular, psychological, cardiological, abnormalities in the work of internal organs. For example, the side effect of VSD may be abdominal swelling and tenderness, nausea, irregular stools or, on the contrary, diarrhea is a classic symptom of stomach disorders, and the intestinal system. And often there are signs that clearly indicate the nervous origin of the problem - seizures of unreasonable fear or heart palpitations typical for heart disease.

What is the IRR? From the very name of this ailment it appears that the root of the disease is in the violation of the vascular tone. In the human body there is a vegetative nervous system responsible for the regulation of constriction and expansion of blood vessels. In a healthy person, this system narrows or dilates blood vessels when necessary: at atmospheric pressure surges due to weather changes, when adrenaline is released into the blood in response to stress, under physical exertion or, conversely, when a person goes to bed. In the patient, however, this system is knocked down. Imagine a car in which the gas pedals and brakes are mixed up. Similar confusion is also observed in the functioning of the patient's IBD. He often throws in the sweat, the pressure jumps, the temperature is then elevated, then lowered. Plus, all the inhibition and fatigue in the morning and nervous excitement in the evenings.

Despite these depressing symptoms, many doctors argue about what the VSD is, and call such sufferers "imaginary patients", because at the examination it turns out that all organs function normally and there are no obvious anomalies. Of course, dystonia - the ail is not fatal, but you still need to treat it. In this case, it is first of all necessary to identify the cause of the failure of the autonomic nervous system.

In adolescents, with the growth of internal organs, the vessels simply can not withstand the suddenly increased load. Approximately the same principle of development of dystonia and in pregnant women who are experiencing hormonal changes in the body. In these cases, an effective method is simple physical exercise or moderate exercise. It is important not to overexert and do not push the bar. Optimal will be cycling, swimming, walking. Compliance with the regime of the day is the cornerstone in the fight against dystonia. At night, you should drink tea, which has a beneficial effect on sleep.

Vegeto-vascular dystonia can also develop on the nerves. Then you should refer to a psychologist who will help to relieve chronic stress, neuroses, to bring out of depression, the consequence of which is this ailment. Such patients need rest, taking antidepressants, soothing medications. Do not interfere and diet: less meat, alcohol, salt, more fruits, vegetables, fish (preferably, sea). If the treatment is applied correctly, very soon you will forget about what is the VSD.
