What is diet number 5?

When we hear the word "Diet", the first thing we remember is the process of losing weight, giving up food to lose extra pounds: we remember the various Kremlin and mono diets, diets for 5 days, etc. However, there are a number of diets, the purpose of which has nothing to do with losing weight. Their goal is to maintain the health of the body in this or that disease. It is to such diets that diet number 5 applies.

It was developed in the Soviet Union by dietician Mikhail Pevsner for people with diseases of the biliary tract, liver and gall bladder. These can include diseases such as cholecystitis, chronic hepatitis, acute hepatitis in the cure stage, cholelithiasis, cirrhosis, and the like. At the same time, the patient should not suffer from bowel disturbances.

Diet number 5 is aimed at protecting the liver from chemical attack, while the food remains full. This same diet normalizes the biliary tract. Its high efficiency is provided by a rigid restriction of products containing fats, essential oils and organic acids, but in high amounts of fiber. Most of the fiber is found in vegetables and fruits, as well as in various seeds. That is why in this diet vegetable dishes predominate, in addition, the menu of diet number 5 includes dairy products.

For a day a person on this diet eats about 60 grams of fat, 100 g of protein and 500 g of carbohydrates. When recalculating on calories, it will be about 3000.

For an organism suffering from the aforementioned diseases, various vegetarian soups, cabbage soup, borsch, beetroot soup on vegetable broths will be very useful. The main thing is not to add vegetable fry to the soups. It is better to grind vegetables in advance and lightly dry. Its special features diet number 5 has in the use of bread. It should be prepared from peeled and sowed flour. In addition, it is desirable that the bread was yesterday. It is not forbidden to use dry biscuits or biscuits.

Meat is also included in the diet menu № 5. Only necessarily not fat: young lamb, rabbit, veal, beef, turkey, chicken. Pre-meat should be boiled, you can bake in the oven. Low-fat fish is also welcome, it is possible to make a tender souffle from it, or it can be meatballs.

Of course, the restrictions of diet number 5 has a huge amount, but this does not mean that it will not deliver a person any pleasure. Of all these products, you can easily prepare a huge number of delicious and healthy dishes.

But do not forget about those products that are a person who adheres to this diet, just can not. And there are also a lot of them. You can not eat, for example, kvass, and therefore okroshku.

In addition, it is forbidden to eat meat, fish and mushroom broths, as well as green cabbage soup, fresh bread, buns, puff pastry and fried patties. Naturally, it is necessary to exclude from the ration of smoked meat, most sausages, salted fish, fatty meat. Goose and duck with this diet are also not welcome. Fatty dairy products are also not worth eating to people who are shown this diet. Sorrel, green onions, pickled vegetables, radish, chocolate, caviar, mustard ice, horseradish and other spicy sauces - all these products should be excluded from the menu with diet number 5. Contraindicated, of course, and alcohol.

Diet 5: The Menu.

Breakfast: porridge on milk, low-fat cottage cheese with sour cream and sugar, tea.

The second breakfast: baked apples.

Lunch: vegetable soup, chicken baked, boiled rice, compote.

Afternoon snack: rose hips infusion.

Supper: mashed potatoes, boiled fish, tea with cheesecakes.

And a glass of tender yogurt before going to bed.
