Web browsers: which one is better?

In the era of the massive dominance of Internet technologies, a special role in everyday life was played by web browsers. Until recently, the only player in the crowded field was a long-suffering IE, but due to the complete indifference to it of Microsoft itself (which did not update it for five years), it was quickly replaced by products of more dynamic and sensible companies.

It is generally accepted that to date, a number of strong players have become entrenched in the browser market. Web browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Opera and IE 10 (yes, a good browser), have firmly captured the hearts of millions of users of the World Wide Web. To this day among the regular Internet users there is such a thing as "browser wars". Put simply, this promising term means thousands of pages of forums where users behave worse than monkeys. Throwing each other ... insults, they are trying to find out the benefits of their products.

It should be said that in such a dispute, not the truth is born, but the flows of information garbage, which bear absolutely no semantic load. But what about the newcomers who start to doubt all this "noise" even more, and do not know how to install a web browser?

To answer this question it will not be enough to insult and mention the nearest relatives of the opponent, as it is necessary to tell about each participant in the competition in passing. Let's start with Firefox.

Its crown "chip" are extensions, thanks to which the functionality of the browser can be extended to infinity. The regulars of thematic forums joke that if you install all available extensions, you can get a new operating system. Among the shortcomings is worth noting a rough initial functionality, which will have to "dopilivat" all the same extensions that are not available to all newcomers. Despite this, the web browsers of this family (including all forks) are among the most common.

The next two participants, Chrome & Opera, we'll look together. The fact is that not so long ago the Norwegian company, which is engaged in the development of the "Opera", changed its Presto engine to WebKit, so the advantages and disadvantages of both products are approximately the same today. Among their positive qualities is speed and security.

Cons - some indistinctness in the settings and the small number of the latter. You will not be able to fully enjoy them. In addition, the "Opera" in its last incarnation has completely lost many of its "features", which promise to be brought back in a foggy future ... But these web browsers are one of the most popular in our country, and the number of their fans is estimated at millions. A good community (chat) is always ready to tell inexperienced users the answer or solution of almost any problem.

Finally, IE. Despite a lot of "witty" remarks about this browser, one can not but admit that the last few years have not passed for him in vain. Today the old "donkey" no longer looks like a stranger to the consumer holiday of life, being fast, secure and integrated with MS services.

Thus, setting up a web browser (any of the lists presented above) will give equally positive results, so do not be afraid to experiment!
