Varicose veins.

Varicose veins on testicles are a genetically determined disease, characterized by a violation of trophic male genital organs, mainly testicles.

Etiology of the disease

First of all, it is necessary to note the great role of the hereditary factor in the development of testicular pathology. Varicose disease, in any of its forms, which took place at the next of kin of a man, can be a decisive factor in the development of this disease.

Varicose testicles can also take their origin from a congenital anomaly of the venous wall. This disease is often found and diagnosed only at the stage of the progressive process in the scrotal area.

Frequent injuries and hypothermia are factors that play a large part in the formation of varicose pelvic disease.

Of no small importance are the so-called physiological causes that can increase the pressure in the small pelvis. These include chronic constipation and heavy physical exertion.

Pathogenesis of the disease

In the course of its development the disease passes through several stages:

  1. The first stage is not characterized by any clinical manifestations, and it is possible to detect changes in the blood flow in the testicle only with the help of ultrasound or dopplerography.
  2. In the second stage, the patient will also not show any complaints, but varicose veins can be palpated only in a horizontal position.
  3. The third stage differs from the second only in that the veins are probed already in the supine position of the patient.
  4. At the last stage, the enlarged veins are objectively visible.

Thus, varicose veins begin with a violation of blood flow in the scrotum. Any etiological factor acts on the wall of veins that supply blood to the area of the male genital organs. Under the influence of this factor, the blood begins to move vortically, and eventually stays in the testicles at all, i.e. They practically do not receive adequate nutrition. The veins are increasing in diameter and swelling. Due to the accumulation of blood, this area of male genitalia overheats and swells - accordingly, a clinical picture appears.

Symptomatic of the disease

Varicose testicles are primarily manifested in male infertility. As a result of overheating of the seminal fluid, the spermatozoa either ripen slowly or do not ripen at all. That is why varicose veins of male genital organs are more often diagnosed when couples plan to have a baby.

If a man is not bothered by the fact of infertility, he can come to the doctor with complaints about unusual pulling sensations in the scrotal area. Also, patients can complain of pain in the perineum, lower back and lower abdomen. With this process, the testicle can increase in size, change color and shape - this may be the first complaint of patients.

Based on the anatomical features of the structure of the male reproductive system, varicose testicles on the left are much more common. If the clinical picture indicates localization of the process to the right, it is best to look for the causes of the disease in the kidneys or the arterial vascular bed.

Treatment

Varicose veins are treated only by surgical removal of the cause. However, it can not be said that this procedure is applicable to all patients. If the disease does not bother the patient, then the treatment can consist only in taking vitamins and avoiding heavy physical exertion. But patients with severe pain syndrome, infertility and atrophy of the testicles precisely need surgical intervention. What approach to apply to a particular patient is decided by the attending physician.

What is testicular atrophy?

The very word atrophy means a gradual decrease in size, followed by dying off, i.e. Atrophy of testicles - a disease characterized by a decrease in the size of the scrotum with a gradual fading in the function of the organ. This process is partially reversible.

There are a lot of reasons for this disease, but it is known that over-consumption of hormonal drugs and protein-based synthetic nutrition leads to the development of this process.

This disease can not be cured - it can only be suspended. Partial restoration of the function is carried out with the help of hormonal drugs, however, it is not always possible to do this.
