Types of syringes: universal, insulin, disposable syringe Janet (150 ml)

Getting into the stomach, drugs cause irritation of its walls. To avoid this, doctors recommend injecting drugs. They are performed by a variety of syringes. For the introduction of nutrients, rinses, syringes are also used, but special ones, for example, a disposable syringe of Janet (150 ml).

Construction of syringes

By design, syringes are divided into two- and three-component. The first type is a syringe consisting of a cylinder and a piston. The volume of a tool made in a two-component version can be from two to twenty milliliters. The disposable syringe Janet (150 ml) also refers to two-component.

The three-component consists of a plunger, a piston and a cylinder (the plunger is a seal located at the end of the piston and ensuring a smooth movement of the piston along the cylinder).

Features of syringes

For each type of procedure a syringe of a certain volume is used. Small instruments up to 1 ml are meant for inoculations, intradermal and subcutaneous injections.

Syringes from 2 to 22 ml are used for subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous injections.

Syringes with a volume of 30 or more milliliters, including a disposable syringe Janet 150 ml, are used for aspiration, sanitation, rinsing of various cavities, the introduction of nutrient solutions.

Appointment

Syringes have a different purpose.

1. Insulin. They are used for injections of insulin. This species has a small volume (up to 1 ml) and a thin short needle. On the body, the marking means ED (units of insulin), not milliliters.

2. Disposable syringe Janet 150 ml. This is the largest option, which is used to introduce various solutions through probes, for cavity lavage, sanitation.
3. A syringe tube is a disposable tube, inside which there is a dose of a drug. It is elastic, sealed and sterile, intended for quick relief.
4. The syringe pen helps insulin. This variety is an injection syringe with a thin needle and a convenient button.
5. Dart - this variety is used in veterinary medicine with the introduction of drugs or temporary cessation of animals. Such syringes are loaded into special guns instead of cartridges.
6. Syringe Luer - this kind is a small, 2-milliliter, and a large syringe up to 100 g. The body is made of glass, inside a long piston. I use them for punctures and for intravenous injections.
7. Pistol. The syringe is designed specifically for those who are afraid of injections. A syringe with a volume of up to 5 ml is loaded into the gun, then the medical officer presses the trigger and the medicine is injected. When using this device, injections are painless, and drugs are injected quickly.
8. Syringe for infusions. This is a large syringe, used to infuse medications into the cavity. Models are similar to the Janet syringe, but they have special tips and an elongated head.
9. Carpool syringe. It is used in dentistry for anesthesia. These models can be either disposable or reusable.

There are other types of syringes that have a special purpose. These include: a syringe-flask, "Record".

Scope

All syringes are divided by volume. Depending on this indicator, the tools are divided into:

1. Syringes of small volume.
2. Syringes of medium volume.
3. Large volume syringes.

The sizes of the syringes affect the accuracy of the administration of the drugs, and also determine the branch of medicine in which the instrument is used.

To syringes of small volume carry instruments with volume from 0,3 to 1 ml. They are used in endocrinology with the introduction of insulin, for vaccination, for carrying out intradermal tests. Small syringes are also used in phthisiology and neonatology.

Syringes of medium volume have a capacity of 2 to 22 two "cubes". This species is considered universal and is used in all branches of medicine.

Medium-sized syringes are used for intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous, intradermal and other injections.

Large volume syringes are used for suctioning various liquids, washing, injecting nutrients. Such instruments have a volume of 30 g.

When choosing a tool, consider its quality. Cheap models have a lot of flaws, one of which is a tight piston. It is difficult to work with such a tool. Be sure to consider the volume and purpose of the syringe. For intramuscular injections, universal 5 ml syringes are most often used. "Dozens" and "twenty" are used for intravenous injections.
