American actor, singer and comedian John Lovitz was born July 21, 1957 in Los Angeles, California. The father is a Jew, comes from Romania, his mother is an expatriate from Hungary. On the maternal line, John traces Russian roots: his grandfather was born into a family of immigrants from Russia.
