The turkey has not been sold in stores until quite recently, and it was unreal to purchase it. But now everything has changed, you can buy anything, including turkey. Turkey is a fairly large bird, wild turkeys reach 8 kg of weight, the domestic ones grow up to 35 kg! The wild turkey still lives in the forests of America, grows a huge amount of offspring (there are up to twenty chicks), and is very aggressive in protecting them. In general turkey can attack without special reasons, even if it seemed to him that you are claiming for "his" territory.

The turkeys have tasty, dryish meat. It is considered dietary and very well absorbed. By the way, the turkey meat broth turns out excellent. From turkey prepare a huge number of different dishes, including rich soups. Here's how to prepare soup from a turkey, we'll talk in this article.

Since this bird comes from America, accordingly, the dishes from it came from the same place. And since the "american" recipes have been used up a whole mountain, it's not easy to choose one from them. When I came up with the idea to cook soup from a turkey, it turned out that the options for this soup are huge. Because it was necessary to connect the familiar Americans, they shared the original recipe, which is actually used in many families living in the States, and which I'll describe here.

In order to prepare the right turkey soup, you will need the following ingredients: 300 grams of turkey meat, 300 grams of beans (you can optionally do without it), one carrot, a bulb, a clove of garlic, a pair of potatoes, 50 grams of celery and parsnip , Olive oil (where without it). And salt, pepper, bay leaves, parsley.

So, prepare the soup from the turkey, the recipe provides for the amount of ingredients that is needed for two servings of the dish. And do not forget that even in one leg (although it is more correct to call this leg) turkey can be up to a kilogram of meat. So it is better to cut the meat first into parts, remove the bones and films and set aside as much as you need. It would be prudent to cut this meat into portions before cooking. We boil one and a half liters of water in a saucepan, and when the water boils, we put turkey in it. After half an hour we remove the dishes from the fire and let it stand for about an hour, in the case when there is not much time, you can just cook the meat for an hour, the resulting broth will go to turkey soup.

Cut large carrots, celery and parsnips into straws, cut the onions with a large straw along the onion, so when cooked, it will not fall apart and turn into gruel. Garlic should be cleaned and crushed.

Intermediate stage of preparation of ingredients is over, you can start to roast them.

Fry carrots, onions and roots in a deep frying pan, pre-lubricated with olive oil and calcining on fire. When carrots become soft, you can remove the frying pan from the fire.

While everything is fried, throw a couple of lauruses into broth, add garlic, salt, pepper there, and if you have Provence or Mediterranean herbs, you can add a pinch of those or other. In the store you can buy a ready mix of these herbs, but you can also combine your own set if you mix a pinch of basil, sage, chabera, mint, thyme, oregano and marjoram. This mixture will be the perfect complement for any soup.

Now add to our soup from turkey roasted vegetables and increase the fire in order to bring it to a boil. When the soup boils, reduce the heat and cook for 10 minutes on low heat.

Next, remove the laurel from the soup and pour into it diced potatoes, cook for about 15 minutes. If you like beans, you can add it (of course, pre-cooked), then you will get my favorite turkey soup with beans.
