Traditional recipes: pies with potatoes

In this article we will tell you how to cook large pies with potatoes. This dish, although it is prepared from simple products, but requires some skill and culinary skills. As a filling, as you guessed from the name, potatoes are cut, cut into thin plates. Having tried to cook according to the traditional recipe, you can experiment with the components. To make the pies with potatoes tasty, and the filling does not remain raw, cook them for at least fifty minutes. Therefore, we reserve ourselves with patience and the following ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups of milk;
  • 1,5-2 teaspoons of yeast;
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar;
  • 2.5 cups of sifted wheat flour for dough and a little for sprinkling;
  • 30 grams of butter;
  • 1 egg;
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil;
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.

To make a filling, preparing pies with potatoes, let's take:

  • 1 medium onion;
  • 1 teaspoon of salt;
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;
  • 600 grams of potatoes.

First, we prepare the spoon for the yeast dough. In a little preheated milk, we dissolve one tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of salt. There we put the yeast, mix it, and then put it in a warm place for about 10 minutes or until the yeast begins to rise. Then knead the dough. With the remaining sugar, beat the egg. In a deep bowl, pour the flour into the can. There also rash salt. In a hill of flour we make a "crater". In it, pour the spoon, beaten egg with sugar, vegetable oil and put a lightly softened creamy butter. Thoroughly knead the dough for ten to fifteen minutes. If you have a bread maker in your arsenal - great! You can use it by turning on the kneading or yeast dough mixing mode. Of course, you need to do all the manipulation patiently and without fuss. We cover the container with the prepared test with a towel or food film and put it in a warm place for an hour or two. During this time, the mass should increase in volume approximately two to three times. You can periodically turn it on. From such a test, you can cook not only pies with potatoes, but also with other fillings. For example, with cabbage, mushrooms, meat, vegetables, cheese, onions and so on. Do not be afraid to experiment and choose the ingredients to your liking. After all, this creative part in the culinary business is the most interesting and turns the traditional dish into an unusual original recipe!

But first we'll make a traditional stuffing in our pie with potatoes (a photo of the ready-made dish is attached). Straw my under running water, peeled. Then cut potatoes into small plates, both for making chips. We remove the bulb from the husk and cut it with the same thin semirings. Solim, mix and leave our future stuffing in pies with potatoes for 20-30 minutes. During this time, the mixture should start the juice. Then squeeze out excess water and add the vegetable oil. We bake the baking mold and make a basis for the pie from the dough piece. Sprinkle with flour, evenly spread and form the edge. We distribute the filling, and cover the top with the second part of the dough. We fasten the edges. Let's stand for about 20 minutes. Then cover with foil our pies with potatoes and put in a preheated oven to 245 degrees. First, bake for about 10 minutes at this temperature, and then reduce it to 160 degrees and continue baking for about 35 minutes. Then remove the foil and cook the rest of the time. Done!

As a quick option, you can prepare a puff cake with potatoes. The filling is prepared in the same way as in the previous recipe, and the dough is taken ready.
