Serial production of the car "Toyota Kaldina" started in 1992 and lasted for fifteen years. The model replaced the seventh generation of the universal Carina Surf. It was developed exclusively for the Japanese market, but it was illegally imported into other states, including our country.

First generation

The second generation

In 1997, the first copy of the second generation of the Toyota Kaldina came off the assembly line. The characteristics of the car compared to its predecessor were significantly improved. In particular, the car received an updated platform T21x, which was later used for other models. The truck version of the car was no longer produced. Together with this, the designers did not begin to change the owner's beloved all-wheel drive system. The body of the station wagon became more streamlined and received modern features in design.
