Serial production of the car "Toyota Kaldina" started in 1992 and lasted for fifteen years. The model replaced the seventh generation of the universal Carina Surf. It was developed exclusively for the Japanese market, but it was illegally imported into other states, including our country.

As for the transmission, the choice of the buyer offered a four-step "mechanics" and a five-speed automatic box.

The second generation

In 1997, the first copy of the second generation of the Toyota Kaldina came off the assembly line. The characteristics of the car compared to its predecessor were significantly improved. In particular, the car received an updated platform T21x, which was later used for other models. The truck version of the car was no longer produced. Together with this, the designers did not begin to change the owner's beloved all-wheel drive system. The body of the station wagon became more streamlined and received modern features in design. For the model, petrol engines with a volume of 1.8 and 2.0 liters with modifications were envisaged, as well as two variants of the "diesel" - with a volume of 2.0 and 2.2 liters.

In 2000, Japanese engineers updated the model. The novelty has acquired new optics in front and behind, as well as new bumpers. For the turbo version, an additional air intake was provided on the hood.

The third generation

The third generation of the Toyota Kaldina was launched in 2002. Due to this car, the Japanese manufacturing company planned to catch up with other brands in the segment of sports middle class cars. As already noted above, the car was not officially supplied to our country. As for the cost of the car "Toyota Kaldina", its price in the secondary market starts from the mark of 350 thousand rubles and depends on the current state and mileage.
