The theme of love in Esenin's lyrics. Love in the works of Sergei Yesenin

Yesenin reveals himself in his poems. He gives an opportunity to everyone who reads poems, to look directly into the soul of one of the most brilliant people of Russia of that time.

Biography of the poet

Sergei Yesenin was born September 21 (October 3) in 1895 in the Ryazan province, the village of Konstantinovo, and died December 28 in 1925 in Leningrad. All his life he passionately loved his homeland, which, of course, can be traced in many of his poems. The country inspired him to the lyrics.

Residents of Russia became heroes in poems. He often described a simple peasant life.

Unlike Nekrasov, Sergei Aleksandrovich knew about peasant problems not by hearsay, since he himself was in the same situation.

Fate was favorable to him, and in 1904 the boy went to comprehend the foundations of science in the Zemstvo school of Konstantinov. Then he continued his education at the parish school. Having finished it, Yesenin collected his things and moved to Moscow. There he first worked in a shop at a butcher, then at a printing house. At the same time I did not forget about the training. He was an auditor in the People's University. Shanyavsky, where he attended courses in history and philosophy.

The Beginning of Poetic Life

Work in the printing house made it possible to get acquainted with writers and poets who came to be published. His first poem was published by the magazine Mirok in 1914. He was not embarrassed by the fact that he had to write on children's subjects. Love in Esenin's lyrics appeared later.

In 1915, he was first heard by Gorodetsky and Blok. A year later he was taken into the army. There was a war in which he became a medic. At the same time, the first collection of poems Radunitsa, which brought him popularity, was published.

Yesenina was loved by the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and her children. He spoke before them in Tsarskoe Selo.

A new era

In the early 20-ies young Sergey Alexandrovich discovers for himself imazhinizm and becomes his representative.

After a trip to Central Asia I was carried away by oriental motifs, songs, verses.

In the twenty-first year there is an event that changes his life. He falls in love with Isadora Duncan, a dancer who marries six months later. After the wedding, they went abroad and spent a honeymoon there. In America, the couple stayed for four months.

Soon after his return, the marriage broke up.

Yesenin devoted himself to publishing and a small bookshop. He traveled a lot until his death.

Last years

In recent years, several criminal cases have been brought against him for fighting, drunkenness, indecent behavior.

The Soviet government tried to support Esenin, considering him a genius of that time. Rakovsky advised Dzerzhinsky to send the poet to a sanatorium, where he would be cured of drunkenness.

In 1925, Sergei Alexandrovich managed to get him to go to the hospital. But in December of the same year he discharged, took all the money from his savings and went to Leningrad. There he met with prominent writers and writers, lived in an expensive hotel.

Yesenin suffered from depression. And in the same hotel, writing a couple lines of a new poem, he hanged himself.

Love theme in Yesenin's lyrics

Sergei Alexandrovich was not just a poet, he was an artist and even a musician. Such a sensual nature of the artist suffered from loneliness. He was married three times. I changed one mistress after another. None of them brought him long-awaited happiness.

But all of them were in due time a revelation for the poet. Each became a muse.

The theme of love in Yesenin's lyrics was not similar to those of others. The author made it relevant and very intimate.

This theme began to sound from the very beginning in his poems. In the first stylized folklore works such as "Imitation of a song," he enjoys the desire to be loved, the opportunity to steal a girl's kiss. The poem is more like a lyrical tune.

Young love in Esenin's work

The first works he dedicated to Anna Sardanovsky. In them Yesenin anticipates the joy of the forthcoming meeting.

The theme of love in Esenin's work later became mixed with ecstasy from the nature of his country. He empowers flowers, trees, natural phenomena with characteristic female guises. For example, he compares Kashin to an innocent young birch tree. Long braids her hair combs the moon. And at the same time, the poem tells how the shepherd comes to a tree, which turns metaphorically into a girl. He hugs her for bare knees. But courtship is innocent.

Yesenin's book "Poems about love" is also imbued with chaste feelings. It was not given proper attention and was not published. And then the theme of love in the poems of Yesenin began to change. It has changed.

Yesenin at the crossroads

His mood is changing in "Moscow tavern". Not only that Yesenin was experiencing difficulties on a personal level. Russia was changing. There was an absolutely new state, with other moral values. It seemed to him that no one else would need his work.

At the same time, the poet began to seek consolation in alcohol. He tried to drown out the pain, and it became easier for him for a little while. Since that time Esenin could not deny himself.

Drunk with wine, he lost his innocence of views. The poet writes "A Letter to a Woman", which became his confession, a confession that he is drunk because of suffering.

The theme of love in Yesenin's works is transformed from now on from the divine sign to plague, into illness. And he becomes a cynic who sees only the carnal manifestations of something previously holy.

Women turn into a dog pack, ready to bite it. But at the end of the poem the poet describes that he can not contain his tears, and asks for forgiveness.

Sergei tries to drown his own pain with love. The theme of love in Yesenin's poetry becomes a cure. And again his works become inspired and full of hope.

New love

He has a new muse - Augusta Miklashevskaya. She heals Esenin, gives the opportunity to create. The poet is born a cycle of poems "Love the hooligan". He again idealizes the once-hated feeling.

A vivid example of this period of life can be called the verse "The blue fire was swept away". Yesenin assures us that for him this feeling arose for the first time, and now he does not want scandals and quarrels. Alcohol is forgotten. Life was painted in bright colors. The theme of love in Esenin's lyrics has changed. The poet compared himself to a bully who was tamed.

Augusta became his new meaning. He compared it even with the Mother of God.

And in 1924 the poet comes a new turn in life. He gets acquainted in Batumi with another muse, Shagane. Her lyricist has devoted a lot of poetry. For her, created the "Persian motifs." All of them seem to be one confession of their feelings.

He wrote that he does not know Persian, but the language is not a hindrance. The theme of love in Yesenin's poetry is understandable for all. In this collection, a bright feeling is mixed with nostalgia for the home.

Two sides are fighting in it. One of them goes mad about the girl, the second can not leave the Motherland.

Final chords of the lyrics

Yesenin after many attempts to find love, finally it is disappointed. The last verses are more impregnated with hatred for a luminous feeling, irony, cynicism. He only observes insincerity in the female field, sees his craftiness. In one of the poems Yesenin calls the ladies empty.

Until the last moment he believed that he could meet his dream, a real feeling. He wanted to see the ideal. In the poem "Leaves fall, leaves fall," not so much despair sounds as much as a desire to be loved, to surrender to love, to meet a pure girl with whom one can live to the end of days. Yesenin wanted to calm down. And he was looking for one that could heal the wounds of a poet who had seen much.

Yesenin's lyrics give the reader a full and genuine range of his feelings. There is no lie in it. It fully corresponds to the biography of the poet. All his emotions were poured out onto paper. It seemed that Yesenin did not hide anything from the others. He lived like an open wound.

Everyone who could read could see the soul. The theme of love in Yesenin's poetry is revealed with all the poet's passion.

Perhaps, that is why his poetry is still so actual. It will always be popular, loved by many. After all, he spoke for people and about human feelings.

The poet understood this. The theme of love in Esenin's lyrics is accessible and understandable to everyone. Everybody worries about it. The majority suffers from some problems.

Love for Russia

Types of love lyrics are different. It can be addressed to relatives, to relatives, and can concern and to the whole state.

Yesenin was a favorite poet for the imperial family, and later became a national property in Soviet society. How could this happen?

The thing is that he spoke a common language with the people. The theme of love in Esenin's works was filled with gratitude to his country. He more than once sacrificed personal happiness for her.

Most often the Motherland reciprocated him.

Sergei Alexandrovich once noticed that all his lyrics live only thanks to the love of Russia. In his poetry this name occurs, perhaps more often than all the others.

Yesenin did not tire of making confessions in his feelings for Russia. This love was the basis of all his life's deeds. She was stronger than the poet himself.

Everything that Yesenin felt that surrounded him, and it was the homeland. It was difficult for him to separate one topic from another. Love for one's state was woven into other subjects. Very often she combined with female images and became even more personal.

For example, in his lines about the autumn the girl is described, "drunk" by others, with fatigue in her eyes.

The nature of Russia has always been for Yesenin something alive, with a soul and heart. Animals and trees, the seasons become as important as the images of women.

Perhaps, only this beauty, the tenderness of the environment, kept the depression that Sergey Yesenin was experiencing for a long time. The theme of love of nature became its outlet.

Poet and Politics

In his love he was not blind. Sergei Alexandrovich saw the depravity of the work of the peasants, their hard life. The February revolution was for him an unprecedented achievement, progress. He was hoping for change.

Yesenin is disappointed that not the Socialist-Revolutionaries come to power, but the Bolsheviks, and they cease to be interested in culture.

Over time, the poet made attempts to resign himself and love the new power. He practically got it after a trip to America. But later verses testify that he remembers perfectly those times when the power belonged to the monarchy, and it is difficult for him to keep up with progress.
