The Swedish plate is a progressive solution for the construction of a foundation

"Insulated Swedish plate" is a type of shallow foundation. "Swedish plate" combines insulated monolithic slab foundation, the surface ready for laying the finishing floor and the system of the warm floor (water, steam, electric).

Main properties of CARBON ECO SP:

  • High compressive strength - at 2% deformation of 200 kPa

  • Thermal conductivity in operation - 0,034
  • Modulus of elasticity -17 MPa
  • Biostability;
  • Durability in soils not less than 40 years;

Extrusion Styrofoam CARBON ECO SP does not absorb moisture, does not swell or shrink, is chemically stable and does not rot.

Stages of installation of a shallow foundation under UWB technology:

  • Development of excavation, laying the leveling layer of sand (about 15 cm), laying the geotextile canvas.
  • Stacking of drainage with backfilling from rubble and sand.
  • Stacking of side elements from extruded polystyrene foam
  • Laying the first and second layers of insulation.
  • Stacking reinforcing cage
  • Installation of pipes of a warm floor and communications
  • Pouring concrete using a concrete pump.

1 - using L-blocks;

2 - using standard thermal insulation boards.

The first option of assembling the heat-insulating layer significantly accelerates the process of assembling the UWB. In this case, there is no need to glue blocks on the site, from which the quality of assembly of such blocks may suffer, and there is no need to build additional reinforcing bead elements with the use of wooden formwork.

The second option takes more time. On the perimeter of the plate are installed side parts from extruded polystyrene TECHNONICOL CARBON ECO SP, 100 mm thick, for subsequent concreting, the installed side elements are strengthened around the perimeter with an edging board and abutments from the board.

Next, the main layer of insulation is installed. Plates of extruded polystyrene foam are laid "uncontrolled", with a displacement of the joints. End joints with vertical plates of thermal insulation are fastened with plastic dowels.

In the resulting box of extruded polystyrene foam, make a marking of the stiffeners and lay one or two additional layers of thermal insulation.

  • Poppet screw polymeric dowel for fastening layers of extruded polystyrene foam to each other.
  • Spiked plate of GP for bonding extruded polystyrene plates
  • Fixer FS-30 (40) for laying the reinforcing cage
  • Double-sided adhesive tape for gluing polyethylene film

"Swedish plate" is used for the erection of 80% of private houses in Northern Europe and is increasingly used in Russia. To all the advantages of this technology is also possible to reduce the cost by 30% compared with traditional tape foundations and shortening the construction time.
