Posting in a wooden house: basic rules

In recent decades, wooden houses have become increasingly popular on the construction market. Their advantages over stone are obvious: the material that goes to the construction of housing, is environmentally friendly, carries a healthy natural energy. The cost of wooden buildings is much lower, and the pace of construction is much higher than slagblock. Yes, and to warm the house of wood is simpler, more economical, rather than stone.

But finishing works and conducting of household communications have their own specifics. In particular, the wiring in a wooden house must meet a number of requirements.

Rules of electrical wiring in a wooden building

  • The first thing that is done with electrical work is the installation of the supply cable. It is conducted from the power line supports to the distribution board on the house. The laying of the cable can be done by air, or it can be through an underground trench. The air way is economically more profitable and easy to perform. To build an overhead power transmission line, a self-supporting wire is used, the SIP brand, with a different cross-section and stranded, depending on the phase of which capacity and in what quantity are allocated. In addition, we will need fastening clamps, anchors and other equipment. The downside of this method of supplying energy to the house is a violation of the external aesthetics of the residential complex, the cable can be damaged as a result of weather conditions or tree branches. If an underground wiring is made in a wooden house, an armored cable is required, which is immersed in a trench not less than 0.8 meters deep, previously covered with sand by 20 cm high. On top of the cable should be poured a sand cushion of the same thickness. Then the trench falls asleep, placing special marks, so that no excavations are carried out on that site. And the cable is connected to the switchboard, where the electricity is distributed to all the consumer points of the building.
  • Internal wiring in a wooden house can also be two-type - open, that is waybill, and hidden. The installation of the one and the other requires certain skills and has its positive and negative sides. Before deciding which one to use in your home, the landlord must consider how much each species will fit the design of the room, what additional costs will be required.

Hidden Posting

The hidden wiring in the wooden house is laid in the elements of the building itself: inside the floors, under the wall or ceiling cover, etc. Wires are placed in special metal pipes.

The advantage of hidden wiring - it does not violate the design of the room, does not spoil the appearance. On the other hand, this project is more time consuming and expensive. The main power lines are distributed around the house before the floors and ceilings are sewn. The supply to the outlets, switches, lighting sources is done on vertical gutters made in the walls. In order not to spoil the walls covered with panels covered with paint, wallpaper, etc., do not disturb the created interior, the owner of the house needs to determine in advance where exactly stationary electric appliances and other energy consumers will be located. When the distribution plan is ready, you can start drilling the walls for trimming the technological holes for electrical wires. All wires, splicing connections are placed in metal boxes or immediately into sockets or switches. In the places of installation of the sockets in the wall openings are cut for the jaws to insert the outlet and switch mechanisms.

Open posting

Open wiring in a wooden house is done on the external surface of walls, ceilings or floors. It is considered the easiest to install and cheap in material terms. Its most elementary option is the overhead installation of electrical wiring. It is made of non-combustible PVC cables in special channels, boxes, wires can be hid in metal hoses and other insulating devices, or maybe simply a cable in a shell of non-combustible materials with special fasteners.

Non-combustible PVC boxes for installation of electric lines are used if the walls of the house are made of wooden beams, rounded logs, if they are lined with lining and other finishing material. The box is made of solid, light or brown colors. The cables passing through the walls are enclosed in metal sleeves.

Another way - wiring in a wooden house in the open way is made of a retro cable with insulators. Such cables are most suitable for houses made of round logs. Also, open wiring is done on the brackets.
