The history of the subway began with the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1977. During this period, the population of the point reached 1.2 million people. All actively worked, so it was necessary for them to move quickly and easily around the big city . That is why the party leadership decided to open the first line. The work began in September 1980. First, the opening of the metro station Alabinskaya (Oktyabrskaya) and Russkaya (Prospect Lenina) was planned. But later, after the construction of the tunnel, the direction changed, and this project was frozen. The authorities decided that the subway should lie on another route in the area of "Yungorodka", where most of the factories are concentrated.

To organize the first transportation was planned in 1987 to the day of the 70th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. The station was opened on December 26.

Budget problem

The construction of the 10th branch began on February 21, 2007. The opening of the Alabinskaya metro station in Samara was planned for 2009. The work began with the breakthrough of tunnels, each with a length of about 650 meters. The first stage of construction was successful. Soon they fenced off the territory for the second part.

Tasks were carried out without delay until August 2009. Then for the first time they talked about cutting costs. They became an obstacle and repairs on the Volga avenue. Due to the closure of this part, traffic was resumed on the streets, which occurred on the next construction site. Some of the workers were transferred to secondary tasks.

On his initiative, dozens of factories were established, hundreds of versatile establishments were built.

Another quality for which it is respected by the people of the city is kindness. During the famine of 1891, Samara was on the brink of survival. The funds allocated by the authorities were sorely lacking. Therefore, Peter decided to purchase cheaper flour. Subsequently, he was accused of plundering state funds.

Before the charges were dismissed, the man did not live, but the legends about Alabin's kindness and sensitivity are still remembered. The metro station is named after this man - a tribute to his justice.
