The opening of the metro station "Alabinskaya" in Samara. History of construction and photo

The history of the subway in the former Kuibyshev is very long and thorny. The construction of the road from the area "Yungorodok" to the city center took almost thirty years. Therefore, a real holiday for residents was the opening of the metro station "Alabinskaya" in Samara.

From England to Russia

The twentieth century was the century of new technologies. Their main task is to facilitate a person's life. To such novelties the underground also concerns.

The first underground railway was laid as far back as 1863 in London and its length was only 6 kilometers. The customer was the company "Metropolitan Rayleigh". On behalf of the company, the name of this type of urban transport system was used. Five years later, the novelty was adopted by New York, where the underground metro was opened. Following him, in 1892, the first station opened Chicago on steam traction.

The first subway in Moscow did not work until 1935. Twenty years later, the line was launched in Leningrad, Kiev, Tbilisi, Novosibirsk and another dozen Soviet cities. Among them was Kuibyshev. In late December 1987, all residents of the metropolis celebrated the opening of the metro station. "Alabinskaya" in Samara was then called "October" and was included in the scheme. But this option was discarded.

Change direction

The history of the subway began with the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1977. During this period, the population of the point reached 1.2 million people. All actively worked, so it was necessary for them to move quickly and easily around the big city . Own car could afford not everyone, and public transport could not cope with such a flow of influx of passengers.

That is why the party leadership decided to open the first line. The work began in September 1980. First, the opening of the metro station Alabinskaya (Oktyabrskaya) and Russkaya (Prospect Lenina) was planned. But later, after the construction of the tunnel, the direction changed, and this project was frozen. The authorities decided that the subway should lie on another route in the area of "Yungorodka", where most of the factories are concentrated.

Route history №10

To organize the first transportation was planned in 1987 to the day of the 70th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. The station was opened on December 26.

Today the line passes along the streets of Gagarin and Victory. In total there are 10 sites. The last on the line was the opening of the metro station "Alabinskaya". In Samara, she is at the crossroads of the streets with the busiest traffic - Novo-Sadovaya and Osipenko.

The direction by which citizens could easily and quickly reach the city center was conceived back in the 70's. But this plan was not returned until twenty years later. The launch of a new branch took place after the opening of the station "Russian". The construction of the latter was also repeatedly postponed due to lack of funds. The 9th, it is worth noting, the longest, the site began its work on December 26, 2007.

Budget problem

The construction of the 10th branch began on February 21, 2007. The opening of the Alabinskaya metro station in Samara was planned for 2009. The work began with the breakthrough of tunnels, each with a length of about 650 meters. The first stage of construction was successful. Soon they fenced off the territory for the second part.

Tasks were carried out without delay until August 2009. Then for the first time they talked about cutting costs. They became an obstacle and repairs on the Volga avenue. Due to the closure of this part, traffic was resumed on the streets, which occurred on the next construction site. Some of the workers were transferred to secondary tasks.

Different variations of terms

In September, the residents of the city were upset by the information that the finances that were allocated for construction were significantly reduced.

Due to budget reduction, the project was planned to be frozen. So, the opening of the metro station "Alabinskaya" was postponed again. According to new estimates, the object was to be handed over 9 years after the construction began.

Nevertheless, construction continued. Equipment was brought to the place, the cost of which was paid in advance. Work was also completed with the excavation. In 2010, the first site was ready. Three years later, the left distillation tunnel finished. Due to the volatility of financial flows, the time of delivery was constantly changing.

Art in the subway

Serious attitude to the design. In the whole world, the metro is simply a convenient, cheap and fast way to travel. But in the Soviet Union, even during the construction of the first Moscow metro in the country, it was decided that the structure should not only be functional, but also beautiful. Tradition was also supported in this city.

The metro station "Alabinskaya" in Samara amazes visitors with its luxury and beauty. For decoration used light marble and granite. The hue of the minerals is green, gray and red. They are decorated with walls. In the same color scheme and floor.

Particular attention should be paid to the columns with six facets. They are hugged forged lamps. The light from the lanterns dissipates over the snow-white ceiling and spreads throughout the premises.

Honorable clients

The test race took place in 2014. Traditionally, the event was scheduled for the 26th in December. At the opening of the metro station "Alabinskaya" in Samara, many residents and visitors of the city came.

It was then that the first car with unusual customers was launched. The train was filled with people who had a direct relationship to the construction of the facility. Among them is Governor Nikolai Merkushkin. But put into operation the site only on February 1, 2015. From that day on, the transport works without interruption. The graph is user-friendly. Passengers are accepted from 6:00 to 00:00. The cost of the trip is 23 rubles. Cellular communications extend to all underground stations.

Running the last branch will raise the number of customers by 20% of the total.

It is interesting that during the construction of the station the shooting of a catastrophe took place. Directed by Anton Megerdichev, famous for projects such as "Shadow-2 Fight" and "Yolki-3", he shot a new picture "Metro". The premiere took place on February 21, 2013.

Main character

When the question arose of how to baptize the site, for a long time did not think. The name of the man who spent his whole life on the development of his beloved city is Alabinskaya metro station.

Samara became home to many geniuses of past centuries. Among them, Pyotr Vladimirovich Alabin, who was born in 1824, in Podolsk. At a fairly young age, he entered the military service, where he received more than one reward for heroism and courage on the battlefield. Later, for a while, he acted as governor of the Samara region. Then he worked as a district judge. It was then that this man made a technical revolution in a provincial town. On his initiative, dozens of factories were established, hundreds of versatile establishments were built.

Another quality for which it is respected by the people of the city is kindness. During the famine of 1891, Samara was on the brink of survival. The funds allocated by the authorities were sorely lacking. Therefore, Peter decided to purchase cheaper flour. Subsequently, he was accused of plundering state funds.

Before the charges were dismissed, the man did not live, but the legends about Alabin's kindness and sensitivity are still remembered. The metro station is named after this man - a tribute to his justice.
