Shulgan

Describing the waterfalls of Bashkortostan, one can not fail to mention this object. The waterfall is in the gorge of the river of the same name, a hundred meters from the entrance to the Kapova cave. Shulgan represents a ledge in a drying bed, like the entire gorge formed in the limestones of the Upper Devonian.

The most active waterfall is in spring, autumn and early summer. Powerful jets of water emit a strong noise, plummeting into a limestone boiler. During the passage of snow thawed waters Shulgan looks particularly impressive and majestic. And in the summer it turns into a barely streaming stream. In winter the ledge is covered with ice.
